So they thought making the USNC weaker would balance the game haha? Like hornets were not weak enough as it was and apparently yap yap getting free units and taking control of the map instantly isn’t a problem though? Just shows me that they have no idea what wrong with this game, or they the creators just like to play with the covenant leaders.
Judging by the Scorpion buff they don’t only favor Banished.
Well I just played a guy who’s leader was that monkey with that helmet and this is the second time I played this guy and he did this to me. I controlled everything on the map and all my units were tech 3 all he had was 1 base and kept building anti air but somehow was able to kill all my scorpians and wart hoggs as fast as I could build them. There is no balance there are just leaders who are invincible if the player knows how to use them. For an hour I would send wave after wave and all he would do is hide in his base sheild with a bunch of anti air and health regeneration and by the time I brought down the shield my units were half gone. Not to mention I had 6 artillery turrets poking his one base as I was sending in every combination you can think of. This game is out of control and so are the creators of it.

I think you would benefit from some coaching, pav isn’t even top tier in 1s because his early game is so weak and he can’t handle heroes. UNSC as a faction isn’t really weak either, they have some leaders that are meh, but so do banished.
The dude had no power nodes and only one mini base hidden behind his primary base against my 5 primary bases and 5 mini bases he was able to build just as fast. Not to mention I had probably 20 or supply pads and kept running low on supplies because everything cost so dang much now but its cool for yap to get free stuff makes no sence to me
Well im i can go days on this game with out loosing and am onyx level all I suggest is send FanaticMAURIZIO a game invite and you will see what I mean

Again, you’re not playing the matchup/map properly, letting pav go to late game is a bad idea regardless of how many bases you have. You have one of the strongest heroes in the game as Jerome, and you’re playing against one of the worst T1 leaders, who has no realistic counter to your hero on T1. You going early armory and pushing his base prior to T2 with your hero and an infantry ball should basically be gg if you execute properly.
I’m honestly surprised you’re not more upset about the 16 minutes long game against a trox who built nothing aside from CM brutes and reavers, that would be what pissed me off. CM is balanced though rolls eyes

I’ve played the guy, and beat him, don’t remember if he was using pav or not. The only pavs I’ve ever lost to are significantly better players than me, they were winning due to just being a better player, not because pav is broken or inherently better than the leader(s) I was running. I’m willing to scrim it out with you if you like, it’s not an unbeatable strat.

Supply pads have diminishing returns, once you have 8 pads (Pretty sure its 8) you get no more supplies for anymore. So a pavium on one base with his burnout can almost match your supply production.
I had a 2+ hour game against a pavium turtle not long after he was released, he was even better at it then, I was also pav as it happened. I had complete map control but it was really tough to break him. Had to just keep poking until eventually I could get the shield on his base down.

This is completely false, although there is a diminishing return there is still a significant gain in supply e.g. 1 heavy pad = 6.9, 10 heavy pads = 55.3 and 20 heavy pads = 92.4. Burnout is incredibly strong and can mean one base can produce a ton of supplies especially on maps like sentry but it’s no where near enough to match 3-5 bases.
Usually, when players complain about balance i tend to agree, but not this time.
“Like hornets were not weak enough as it was”
Hornets were the most powerful units in the game. Most players wanted them nerfed in multiple threads and in “air is OP” thread.
I haven’t checked if/when they got nerfed, but if they did, then it was a right choice from devs(thumbs up for listening to the players)
Hornets were soo OP(still are i think) that it was becoming a general rule that all games ended with a full pop cap worth of hornets+a few nightingales.
On larger maps, it was near impossible to counter hornets with anything else except … other hornets or banshees.
" yap yap getting free units and taking control of the map"
Those units are quite useless.
I play yap yap quite allot recently and i cant say i get full map control easily. I get map control when the enemy lets me control the map.
The cannon fodder collects resources slowly and don’t really do any significant damage unless there is a horde of them(especially against structures).
I just treat them as a “living wall” just to obstruct the enemy’s movement and absorb some damage.
As soon as i get raid camps up i start to kill off the canon fodder to free up pop cap. Their “usefulness” lasts few starting minutes.
And Pavium - well he is one of the weakest early game hero as already mentioned above.
Even in late game, you need to know how to play with him in order to win. The leader points you spend on burnout are points not spent on
raining destruction down from the sky.
