Mark V B-Class for the base suit.
Pretty much it was a Mark V version that didnt couldnt do AI stuff yet.
That supports customisation. Hense why we see them all wear different armor variants.

Remember Mark V came out in 2551.

Only one who wore an older variant was Jorge who wore a heavily modified variant of Mark IV that supported Energy shields.

Noble team is equipped with mostly with Spartan III Mjolnir powered assault armor. Not SPI.

modified Mk VB Mjolnir

ok thanks guys

This is fan fiction. It’s not official canon. And anyways, MJOLNIR armors such as the Recon, Infiltrator, Locus sets and a ton of others already have stealth capabilities way beyond the photoreactive panels of SPI armo, and with the added benefit of a neural link.

I know it’s fan fiction… Where did I say it wasn’t? I just wanted CIA to read it and give me feed back.

The term “Mark V B” has ONLY ever been applied to the helmet. Nearly EVERY helmet/shoulder variant is designated by “Mark V”, followed by a letter in brackets. For example, “Commando” is designated as [K], while Security is [M]. These aren’t completely different suits, they’re just armor pieces that can be added to the suit. This should be clear thanks to the fact that the base Mark V helmet and shoulders are unlockable, and unlike the Mark VI, which is stated to be a prototype, it’s revealed that the Mark V as a whole has been around for nearly a year by the events of Reach.

Halopedia believes that the Mark V helmet and shoulders come from Chief’s special Mark V variant that can house an AI, but this is simply not the case, given the that the descriptions state that they were issued in 2551, while Chief and the rest of the IIs never received their special AI variants until 2552. Honestly, don’t buy everything Halopedia tells you. These are the same guys who thought that Tartarus INSTANTLY became the Chieftain of ALL Jiralhanae the moment he killed his uncle in Contact Harvest (even though there was no indication that Tartarus’ uncle held so much power over their entire race, and it was actually revealed in a video on the Halo youtube channel that Tartarus WORKED his way up the ranks over the years), and that the Halo Wars BDU and the Reach BDU are two different things, even though they’re both clearly reimaginings of the original CE marine armor.
