So I haven’t bought the game yet (Fallout 4 is my purchase for this month) but I’ve been following the game very closely. Just for kicks I thought I’d look through the Spartan customisation part of my Service Record to see what’s available. Overall I’m glad to see there’s a lot of options available, although most of them don’t really match my ideal aesthetic; I much preferred Reach’s options.
I settled on this for a few reasons. The Nightfall Armour is one of only two armours that includes some pouches and things. I like the aesthetic of having pouches and storage spaces. Of the two available I preferred the Nightfall. I went for the Centurion helmet as it has a reasonable size visor and is in the same vein as the original MarkV/VI but different enough to be personal (although I wish we still had CQB). Many of the helmets just look to weird for my tastes. It also works really well with the Nightfall armour in my opinion; both share similar complexity and lines. The Midnight visor along with Steel allows the set to look good whether I’m playing as Blue/Red team or Solo. When Solo I prefer understated armours rather than gaudy fanciful designs (just personal taste).
So what are you guys aiming for. It’ll be interesting to see some differing design philosophies. Maybe I’ll see some combinations that I really like that I wouldn’t normally be drawn towards!

Sorry man, reviving old threads is against the rules. A year old thread is pretty old. Personally I only want the Helljumper helmet, I don’t really care about many other armors.
Back when I still had stuff left to unlock, I was really aiming for any classic armour, notably Noble, Mark IV, Wrath (armour only) and Indomitable (helmet only). Asides from the campaign armours, they’re basically the only good-looking armours in the game.

Yeah, I did too at first, until I saw StolenSkull’s post about necro-posting.
