Okay, so many people have been enraged that in the bulletin it was said that all armor in PAX was the final set. So much great armor was missing. I personally can’t believe they left out ODST and Mark V. That’s been in Halo 3 and Reach. I mean, come on man. They’re great helmets.
What armor are you most displeased about not returning?
I think Mark V and Hayabusa. But I’m not really too bothered about them because pretty much most of the new helmets looks really mean and badass, just how I like it.
MK V
But lucky for me I love MK VI and Scout. I know my friend is going to be upset MK V isn’t in when he finds out… he loves that one.
I’m satisfied.
Although, CQB wasn’t there. It was never popular, and I never wore it, but it was one of the originals. Kinda f***ed up. Poor CQB.
Also, what happened to that one helmet? The BOB helmet in that screenshot that was turned into a strange doll Easter Egg in the DLC maps?

Thanks lol. I’ve rocked with Mark V for a long, long time on Halo 3 and Reach! It’s just too awesome! =3
ODST actually the marine more, ODSTs have been in halo since H2
ODST and MK. V
I just don’t quite understand why these two were left out. MK. V I can grasp some what, but ODST is canonical to what they are conveying, so I just am frustrated and furious that they left this amazing, simple, and nice armor out.
So many machinima and roleplay’s will suffer because of this negligence…

I love my Recruit but the ODST is classic. I guess it will have to be like that though.
I’ve used the Mk.V since it was an option in 3, though I’ve used it almost exclusively in Reach. But I won’t miss it. There are some very cool and unique-looking helmets in the lineup, and frankly, Mk.V has no place on the battlefield so long after it was put into use. Time to move on, as it were.
Strange that ODST isn’t back, but I was never a big fan of it anyway.
I liked CQB. What sucks is there isn’t anything that looks remotely like it.

Recruit does look awesome, but I personally think the name “Recruit” doesn’t go with the looks of an ODST. I personally think it is ODST with more technological looking, but with a beginner name.

That’s why I am keeping my fingers crossed for it to be a Waypoint unlockable, like police and CQB were done with Reach.
ODST is just too awesome to let go.
It’s not that it “isn’t” returning it’s more of, we haven’t seen all of the armour yet. Regardless, I really want to see a CQC/ CQB variant returning!!

I’m pretty sure the latest Bulletin confirmed that we saw all the armor at PAX.
