This gun was illusive as hell for me. I got it, after about 24 gold packs and a most likely overdrawn credit card. I’m just happy as -Yoink- to even have one. But that’s besides the point. My honest opinion on it? It’s pretty good, it’s definitely a lot better than having the classic BR that was in last months update.
It’s very nice. It seems to work better too.
I used it in the new map reptide or whatever it’s called. And is way more fun to use than the halo5 br. But it has a slower kill time

I don’t believe it is in Riptide, just Warzone.
I’ve used it quite a bit in Warzone. For whatever reason it works better than the Halo 5 BR for me, just feels easier to land shots.

I had no idea. So Riptide has the H5 BR and H2 BR in two different spots? I distinctly remember picking up the H5 BR multiple times during a Slayer match on Riptide yesterday, never the Halo 2 BR though.
I tried it in forge and it feels that it has lower recoil than h5 br, in riptide I grab it kill someone but got killed instantly that got no chance to really try it well enough.
So, all these iterations of BR are confusing me. Bare with me, the BR was first introduced in Halo 2, right? So what exactly is the difference between the Halo 2 BR and the classic BR?! Aren’t they the same? Wuz we conned?
It has the same 2x zoom as H5 BR with slower Rate of Fire and Faster Reload/Switch animation. I have not used it enough to know how well the range feels. The H2 BR, however, is a good example of how much better a zoom is without the gun in your field of view. Hopefully, it’s balanced with the Magnum though, because it feels better but wouldn’t fit in right if the Magnum kills faster.
I like it. Checking my stats, my accuracy is higher with the H2BR than the DMR or H5BR - I can’t say why but I guess the gun just works for me 
Love the Halo 2 BR.
Love it. You should have saved up your REQ points like i did and waited for the update to come out. I unlocked all the new REQs first day. Halo 2 BR is probably the best thing they added for REQs in my opinion.

Yes, both BRs are on riptide. And because the H2 BR is in the Arena sandbox, it is also in Forge.

The classic BR we got last month only had a classic scope. The visual and auditory aesthetic of the gun were exactly the same as the H5 BR, but with the old scope aesthetic. The H2 BR has the same visual and auditory aesthetic of the H2A BR, as well as a slightly slower rate of fire, but noticeably less recoil
Loving the sound of the halo 2 br! Wish the halo 5 br sounded more like it.
My new favorite loadout weapon.
I feel like the range and bullet magnetism is shorter and smaller, respectively. With the halo 5 be it feels like longer ranger it does a little better. Overall for mid-range engagements it feels good.
God, I love it. It’s pretty much identical to the original.
