Yes, I am aware that some unofficial storyline stuff has been leaked.
Cortana is dying. I think she will sacrifice herself, stopping Didact. All artificial Forerunner planets have a “sun/star” in the center of them. Chief will destroy or turn off that sun/star. That causes the sky to turn its darkish blue, also causes Prometheans to turn blue from orange. The final achievement in Halo 4 is called “Midnight Sun” (or something A LOT like that). Hmmm? Makes sense now? At the end of the game Hasley will bring back Cortana. Killing herself in the act, cause shes old and is fine with it. But, thats a long shot. And the Forerunners will wage a war on Humanity. Or the Covenant will come back. What do you think will happen in Halo 4?
I don’t think 343i would kill off Cortana in Halo 4… much too important of a character. Especially after all the emphasia they’ve been putting on the relationship between John and Cortana.
Requiem is different. There is no artificial star on Requiem, its a planet encased in a metal shell.
But there are always other ways of blowing things up…
And Halsey can’t die in Halo 4 since she is alive in 2589 making a speech about Reach.
I think…
Chief and Storm Covenant fleet is pulled into Requiem.
Chief discovers and activates the Didact’s Cryptum.
The Infinity crash lands as the Chief tries to figure out what is going on with the Cryptum.
The guardians of Requiem, Prometheans, attack the Human and Covenant forces.
The Chief is reunited with the Infinity, and they start making plans of how to escape the planet.
The Chief is out somewhere, encountering [the Cryptum?], and comes to the decision that it can’t leave Requiem.
Del Rio is against the plan, but they still need time to repair Infinity, so the Chief goes out on missions to track down and stop the Cryptum.
Sometime near the end (7th mission?) the Chief encounters the source of the Prometheans, a machine called the Composer. It is shut down.
Just a basic run down based on known information. I’m not going to try to figure out endings yet… too much we don’t know.
I think it will sell well and be a successful game. It won’t disappoint but eventually everybody will hate at least one thing in it (happens to every game). The story will be great and will keep us on the edge of our seats and Spartan Ops will thrive.
Story predictions? I don’t want to make any because if one ends up true I will be the chosen one and I don’t want that much attention! :o
