If you’ve read any of my posts, you’ll know that Forge is the #1 thing I’m excited for in H4. Obviously, I hope it will make improvements over Reach’s Forge (hopefully blowing us away the same way the transition from H3’s Forge to Reach’s Forge did), but there are enough Forge wishlist-type threads out there already discussing that subject (I admit I probably bump them more than I should; I’m just really excited about Forge, and would rather discuss it than discuss why H4 is or isn’t COD), so how about a fresh, new Forge-related topic?
So, what I want to know is, what are your plans for H4’s Forge?
I will go first.
The first thing I will probably do is to remake my Star Destroyer that I made in Reach (assuming the new Forge is advanced enough for it [the Star Destroyer] to be worth doing; I’d be somewhat dissapointed if it couldn’t be improved significantly), and make it bigger, more accurate, and more detailed (especially if we have the ability to change the skybox to a space backdrop, and have a variety of “spaceship-y” textures to choose from for objects).
Beyond that, I’ll probably make some other Star Wars and Star Trek maps (the Enterprise A, an AT-AT, an X-Wing, etc). Aesthetic maps are pretty much 99% of what I Forge, with the rest being stuff like race and/or mini-game maps (I have no interest in creating competitive maps, personally; I just like building stuff for fun).
