I just think more leaders, space battles, and a setting of during the Human-Covenant War. Also, a Covenant campaign would be fun. Any other ideas?
more units and better animations

Space battles…
That sounds fun-ish.
Get rid of the stupid Prophet!!!
More like an actual RTS and not something someone with no RTS expirience can play fluently.

No.
That would make Halo fans not want it. Keep it simple or I won’t play it.

Then don’t buy it if it’s to difficult for you.

well for one thing,
noobs think that the Super units will win ANY battle
-Hornets? MAKE GRIZZLIES!
-Hunters? MAKE GRIZZLIES!
-Leader? MAKE GRIZZLIES!
-ODSTs? MAKE GRIZZLIES
-Scarab?? MAKE GRIZZLIES
but what they don’t know is that an army with mixed units can out match a grizzly army easily
> Get rid of the stupid Prophet!!!
Why would they get rid of it prophet is horrible as it is… 3 hogs early game and hes dead…
my idea is to post in the 343 don’t forget halo wars thread until we get our beloved halo wars 2.
I haven’t thought about ideas, but I really want a sequel to come out. That’d make my day.
I’d love to see two campaigns with space battles, as already stated, but also some other things:
**>**less symmetrical maps. I’m not sure if there was any asymmetrical maps, I think only a few, and most weren’t too asymmetrical if at all. Make the maps more natural in that they’re aren’t balanced in every area. Lose some areas, win some areas.
**>**Slight tweaks on leader abilities and powers, I’d like to see some more well developed aspects, for instance, passive abilities to near units and specific units in general. Forge gives all armored land units +3 defense/attack/vision/etc
**>**More interesting super units? I understand that each leader had own, grizzly etc, but maybe even more? Maybe generic super units each leader on whichever side(Cov. or UNSC) could develop, adding some more variety.
**>**Make bases buildable almost anywhere? Might be to open to abuse, so maybe just more available building areas, sort of like command and conquer, where if there’s that particular resource, you can build there, although then the point of supply pads is in question maybe. You could have it to where you could build bases anywhere, but that specific base could only process and create resources if near an actual resource supply like iron or whatever future space fuel of choice.
**>**Other Factions! Flood! It would be kind of stealing from starcraft with the Zerg and all, since I could see the whole cheap to produce and fast expansion features being the traits of the flood, but seriously, who cares? Maybe even rebels or forerunner tech. like the actual sentinels, with just different builds of sentinels to fill the gaps of units, like the super sentinels in Halo wars.
those are my thoughts. I feel the mechanics are fine, especially the fact that it is user friendly, and anyone can pick it up. Whoever said they didn’t like that is being too serious. It’s a game, if someone is less experience that you, then be happy, easy win.
Also, is 343i even in the position to be making an RTS? Whatever happened to the devs of Halo Wars after they were disbanded near the end of the game?

I’d never thought about this, but its a really interesting idea. If 343 wanted to flesh out some Forerunner history, they could easily form a non-linear campaign around 15 “historic battles” between the Forerunner-Humans and then Forerunner-Flood and use those engagements to show how the Flood eventually overwhelmed the Forerunner.
Plus it would be fun to see everyone who isn’t fully read in the fiction scratching their head trying to figure out how humanity existed with the Forerunner.

umm, an army of mixed units? thats a bad strategy in HW. In command & conquer it would work but An full army of odsts vs 4 grizzlies, some marines, a few flamethrowers, 5 hornets and some hogs would be a easy win for the odsts.
Not saying that C&C is better, just saying that there was an advantage of making an army of mixed units
I support you first point noobs always make superunits, but rather then make an army with mixed units you should do this:
-Hornets? Anti air
-Hunters? air, or anti infantry
-Leader? anty infantry or arbiter-tank cheftain-anti infantry or tank prophet-air or anti infantry
-ODSTs? tank or anti infantry, though i usually win agains a full army of scorpions with my odsts
-Scarab?? infantry, air, or vehicles. anti vehicle would work. Having a mac in your right hand wouldnt be a bad idea either
