Let’s start with mine;
I hope that halo will become so popular, that it takes 3 seconds to join a lobby, and when I get into that lobby, will hear a -Yoink!- -Yoink!- down the mic.
A decent story line that isn’t so overly-complicated that you need to play the earlier Halo games just to understand WTF is going on if you’re completely new to Halo with little to no prior knowledge of it before.
Oh yeah, and no more paper vehicles.

This should be on every list, as this was in the past, but not now, sadly.
But what are your hopes, that will change halo for the better, something that we have never seen before, (or for a long time).

oh and to add to that, how about community servers and matchmaking for custom maps
Good Forge canvases, like Forge World. Or perhaps the return of the Halo 3 canvases, like Samd Box, and Sandtrap, and basically every map except Construct.

Game version of Halo: First Strike would be this, if it was right after, and I support that. But if it wasn’t like you say, perhaps playing as an Elite commando during the events of Reach, or another battle we’ve never seen?
I think it would be interesting to see a game version of The Flood from the perspective of that Spec Ops Elite, too.
A complete game at launch I don’t think would be too much to ask for.

Change the art style-
Return the the designs of Halo 3 vehicles. They were the best.
Armors need to look more practical. Think Halo: Reach style.
Mute the color pallet a little bit. Not as much as Halo: Reach, but enough that it seems more realistic.
More UNSC air vehicles. To date, we have had 3 (4 if you count the Sabre) that we could use in game, as a vehicle, legitimately (no Easter Egg required, either).
One of the reasons CoD does so well is it’s art style. Even though they’re wrong, some of the fans cling to the notion that ‘it’s realistic’ and that ‘Halo’s not’.

- I’m not exactly keen on the art style and I would like to see a nice change. But the lightning in some maps (Plaza is the best example) is just so colourful and pleasant to look at,
- Yeah, the armours do need to look more practical. And maybe darker too: the colours to me are still a little bright and sure, Reach’s colours were too dark but at least they weren’t an really bright washed-out colour (imo) that said “SHOOT MEH”.
