I have no idea what to hope for or expect for a new Halo in 2031. With Halo Infinite possibly getting the Destiny 2 treatment of it getting multiple story expansions. We have no idea where Halo Infinite will be in 2 years even with updates.
I think it’s too early to expect anything from a Halo 7.

Something else that we should take into account is that there is no reason to announce the release date for the next Halo at this point or anytime in the near future. It’s not completely unfeasible that Halo Infinite gets a lifetime that surpasses more than 10 years. If we take MCC as an example, we may note that it’s an active and supported game despite the fact that it got released 7 years ago and Halo 5 will get a lifespan of a bit more than 6 years before it’s successor gets released.

With how we all perceive time to just fly by real fast, 10 years may seem long or it could just go by in a blink of an eye. Certainly I hope Halo will or can still be as relevant as it is today and it can stand the test of time. Either way, I’ll keep supporting it as long as I have the power to do so.

I hope Halo 7 is made by Retro Studios. And is a crossover between Metroid and Halo. And that Mister Chief and Samus, like, get together.

I would think it would be a good game probably be hard to think of how to continue the story maybe something about massive rebels in the human colony planets but if it will take that long it has to be good
