Since halo infinite is getting 10 years of support we could maybe see a new halo around 2031. What features, story, or anything else are you hoping for?
A bit early for that don’t you think?! We don’t even know how Halo Infinite ends or actually the campaign story details at all! (Besides the little bits we’ve gotten from the trailers).

Sure, but it’s a bit hard to speculate on the next Halo after Infinite when Infinite hasn’t even come out yet. I’m not even sure one can speculate, because we don’t know any thing. You could come up when your own fan fiction, but that’s not speculation. We have to know something to speculate on it. You can speculate on the events in Halo infinite if that makes you feel better, there’s a lot of material there: Cortana, the banished, what happened since H5, so forth.

I mean to say, we don’t even know if Halo 7 will be released then. It could be a lot sooner if Halo: Infinite becomes a collection like Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

I’m into Black Mirror.
The show explores all sorts of dystopian near-future tech, and it’s misuses.
The post was kinda made in jest, but we’re not exactly far away from that sort of stuff.

Based on that Halo Infinite hasn’t released and that there do still remain a lot of unanswered questions about the future of Halo Infinite and MCC. I would consider it to be too early to speculate about Halo Infinite’s potential predecessor.
At this time, the main points on my agenda is the release and future for Halo Infinite and the future for the Master Chief Collection.

Halo Infinite? Old and busted. The well trained consumer is already excited for next product, before the current one even releases.
I suppose since Halo 6 was supposed to be the end of the current trilogy’s storyline (assuming those plans are still in place) it may well be the start of a new story. We’ll have to see how Infinite wraps up first, though.
