What are your guys forge plans for Halo 4?

I know after completeing campign and getting a little bit of multiplayer exprience, I’ll be going straight to the forge and put myself to work. I know my first creation is going to be a medium sized 4v4 symmertical arena style map.

What are your guy’s plans for forge?

I’m going to be remaking a few of the maps I made in Halo 3 and remade in Halo Reach, due to high demand. Then, I’ll be using some of the new features to design a new and unique map.

I’ll be just testing all of the different forge maps, items and features at first, though.

I plan on making a dark maze for Infection with an invincible zombie wandering around to hunt people down.

I hope someone recreates Trench Battlefield as soon as possible when Halo 4 releases. That’s my #1 favorite game type in custom games.

It’s funny you mentioned that, I played that gametype for the first time a few weeks ago and I absolutely loved it.

Did anyone else like “The Cage?” I actually thought it was pretty fun for a Reach/Forge World map. I would actually like to see it turn into a real map but if it can’t be I hope someone at least makes another Forge version of it.

I made a similar-style map. An earlier version of it is in my fileshare, it’s called “Formulation”. It’s bigger than “The Cage”, and slightly more open, too, but there are definitely closed-quarters pockets around the map, “safe area” type place, and some good sniping spots (that aren’t 100% invulnerable, of course).

Halo 3 maps with new weapons / abilities = new playing experience. Some say better experience, some say worse. But certainly different, no matter what your preference.

I’d LOVE to see the first map pack (or at least a couple of included maps from the beginning) be Halo 3 & 2 maps. Reach’s version of “Ascension” was terrible, didn’t have the Banshee, moving satellite ring, looked too “samey” like all of Reach’s Forge creations (i.e. metallic gray with the occasional green grass).

I’d love them to remake “Construct”, “Foundry”, and/or “Narrows” from Halo 3.

I’d love them to remake “Midship” (“Zealot” is not a remake of that, btw; Sucks by comparison), “Turf”, and/or “Colossus” from Halo 2.

no idea, i’ll probably try and fail at re-building one of my previous maps then try something new if i can think of anything.

but first though, got to look around the objects to see what i’ve got to work with, don’t want to jump in and start hitting walls because of not having the right objects, enough etc…

Like what they did with Forge World.

It depends on what maps, objects, and tools we will get to work with. Some map editors are better suited to some things than others. Either way though, I’ll definitely be making my traditional weapons and abilities showcase/firing range map that I always do though.
