So when that moment before the match starts and you press select to see the players and your team strikes a pose,do you look for clues to give yourself a good idea what kind of fight in you’re in for?
I’ve noticed if someone(s) on my team has full Achilles, Mark V Alpha Reflex, Argus, Cyclops or NightFall Armor, we’re winning no matter what happens.
If their gamertag is their real name, they’re wearing default Mark IV, there’s more than one default Recruit/Recruit Charred Spartan in the team, if someone is wearing Mark VI Gen 1 with Recruit Visor or if there’s only one guy with a mic talking out of the whole team, we’re screwed.
That’s my luck anyway lol, not hating on anyone who genuinely uses the last armors listed but they’re getting a reputation for me.
I don’t really look at the armor. So many people have Achilles now that it’s not a standout thing for me anymore.
Usually, emblems are a big clue because multiples of the same one on a team are most likely a party and high ranking emblems like 150-152 can indicate that as well since I’ve noticed that most of them don’t play solo.
GT’s can be clue although they don’t always reflect the skill level. A sweaty type of GT could actually suck and a premade one for a new account could actually be a good smurf.
Quitters in the beginning of the game can be a small clue that it’s possibly not a full party and you might have better odds of winning since that can sometimes lead to a chain reaction of quitters if their team doesn’t do well right away.
The most obvious clue though is recognizing the names of the players since you’ll know if it’s a full party or not and if they’re good.
When I recognise more than one gamertag on the other team but none on my own. I’ve played enough grifball to know pretty well everyone that is at or above my level.
