What are you willing to pay? $$$

Nothing should cost more than $10. When they said micro-transactions, I thought they’d be micro.

No, these are just transactions.

Besides the pricing, the cosmetics themselves are pretty awful all around - so yeah nothing.

That’s not really the question though, the question is “what have people been paying?”

A lot of people here are quick to crap all over 343i and their approach to Infinite, completely ignoring that Activision has been printing money selling their version of cosmetic bundles at an average of $20. Highest I’ve seen was $30, lowest was $16 and yiu didn’t get much other than the skin.

While I think the recent Katana hip piece is insane at $15, as it’s a single item with some emblems, most of the stuff in the store is fairly market standard. The real issue is that Halo has never done this before and people are having a hard time separating their frustration over that point with the reality of market standards.

Not willing to pay anything until they add a rewarding sense of progression to the BP. I have no issue buying cosmetics if I’m enjoying a game, but this system is draconian. It’s shocking that 343 thinks it’s acceptable as is.

I’d rather just pay $60 for the campaign and classic multiplayer progression.

Monster Hunter World did it right. $1 for small items like weapon charms. $2 for emotes, $5-$10 for weapon/armor skins depending on the size of the bundle.

I bought literally everything they made to show them support… my add on folder for that game is ridiculous.

You make some good points. Afterall this is 343 first attempt at a Battle pass. Activision as you’ve stated has been doing this for years and have already groomed thier player base for multiple years across many games. 6 years is a long time in video game years and 343i is wayy behind on trends, thier fan base even more so.

However, the players don’t want to hear any of this and the main reason I believe is because we been told otherwise that everything is obtainable through playing the game. That has been stated multiple time in many ways from different people not only from 343 but Microsoft as well.

$0. A big, fat zero.

I only spend money on actual games and content-filled DLC. I never, ever, ever spend any money on microtransactions. Ever.

I would pay upto $5 for a color scheme that perfectly matched what I wanted. Thing is, I’ve seen the color schemes. We’ve seen the leaked bundles. None are the colors I want. And I’m not going to pay a dime for a color scheme that isn’t perfect for me. Why should we pay money for colors we don’t truly want?

I would pay the full price of a game to not have microtransactions and to have customizable colors.

I like the Halo 5 rewards system and ranking better. Sure this now just like all those “other” games like Apex with their Battle Pass system. But going without a ranking system of sorts for me at least takes the fun out of achievements. Going after and getting a SR 152 in Halo 5 meant something and was hard work to get there. Now it seems all you’re doing is going after these levels to unlock items. Shelling out much cash for these Credits and Battle Passes. Rankings are better and more Halo-like over the Halo’s I’ve played in the past. So, I’m hanging on to my cash until I guess by 160days are up hoping for positive change. It looks like campaign now will become a ton of episodes which is even more $$$ since Infinitte will be it for the next 10 years. I really would be keeping the cost down to try and attract back lost fanbase. But hey, we’ll see what happens. This may be only beta, but I have a feeling this won’t change even in the official release.

I will probably (most likely) spend an equivalent amount of money on getting Halo Credits in Halo Infinite as I have spend on getting Req Packs in Halo 5. For anyone unaware on how much I have spend on getting Req packs in Halo 5, I can inform that it’s nothing more or less than $0 which has also happened to be the same amount that I have spend on Blitz Packs in Halo Wars 2.

I’m a cheapskate, so I don’t spend any money on in-game items. The battle pass isn’t worth $10 for me.

The store should not exist, period.

There is already a battle pass, 343 should have just made it cost more money instead of making it a tedious grind and giving people the ability to skip it with money, the store just exists to have exclusive items that cannot be acquired through gameplay by any means, I fundamentally despise this concept.

My suggestion: Make the battle pass cost more, don’t allow players to skip it, and remove the store completely.

Now I’ve seen this complaint a couple times now and I’ve yet to see a single source of these statements. From what I remember, once the announcement of a disparate campaign and FTP MP was announced they were entirely upfront about the season pass and premium store. The only guarantees I rmenebr were no lootboxes, no pay to win mechanics, and content wouldn’t be time gated, sunset or ever expire.

I’d actually be interested to see when they ever said that everything would be achievable in game, in an appropriate context (like the statement can’t be about campaign and getting applied to MP, for example) as that would explain a fair amount of the negativity. As it stands it seems some very fair feedback is being swept away by a lot of negativity about a free game not having enough free stuff.

During the multiplayer overview, listen to what is said about the battle pass, also read the December Inside Infinite post.

Honestly, alot of the armor pieces look good, but it helps that they provide nothing in gameplay besides looking cool. I have no reason to buy them but as a Halo game is baffling that I cant just freely unlock them, mix and match armor pieces and call it a day.

This game has its fun moments, but its deeply flawed and it helps me not want to spend a dime on this game.

I’ll look for the post, but everything in the battlepass is earnable in-game, I’ve yet to see a single pass item in the store, so that is an accurate statement.

I have about $300 plus saved up through MS rewards. I’m willing to spend that free money on cosmetics.

I will wait a little bit to see how much campaign DLCs will be.

I buy complete games. F2P games are never complete. They will never get my money.

The funny thing is to me that would be the bigger sin given that we are paying full price for a standalone campaign. Unless the base game is huge, paid expansion ontop of a $60 price tag is a bigger ask to me than a seasons pass and microtransactions in an otherwise completely free game (MP).
