What are you targets for stats?

What are your targets for your stats when you play Halo 4?
What will you focus most on, and what do you want to consistently maintain?

Personally, I will focus on k/d, because it’s practically the only thing I can focus on myself.

I would like to maintain a:

1.5+ k/d
1+ W/L (Hopefully my teams never suck)
20% Accuracy

To kill people and play the game-simple as that.

lol wow, the game isn’t even out and people already care about their K/D spread? That’s one of the things ruining gaming, nobody cares about playing, just showing off.

Personally I’m going to keep BR stats way down and try to maintain a K/D ratio of 2 with all the “weak” weapons because have already written off.

This is the modern era of gaming. Everyone cares about numbers, because it’s the only show of skill without doing an actual 1v1.

I’m going to try to keep my k/d spread at 2, hopefully I can get it to a 2.5

1v1s aren’t a good show of skill…

my goal is to kill more then i die.

I don’t care as much about maintaining stats, due to my Reach stats being almost identical to my Halo 3 stats. Sooo… I expect the same with Halo 4.

I’m more interested in the depth of the stat tracking they’re going to have for Halo 4 more than anything else of this nature.

Well, If I stay out of trolling the heck out of infection for six months I should be able to keep my K/D at a solid 2.0…

Heheh, zombie teamkill riots were fuuuuunnnn though. Unfortuneatly at the vast expense of my stats.

Either way I’ll enjoy it.

lol ironic that you say that because 1v1 proves NOTHING in halo. Halo is a team based shooter that happens to work for ffa as well. the game is in no way designed for 1v1 there for its pointless to say who is better based on a 1v1.

Also comparing K/D doesnt count either cause ANYONE can boost their KD by playing in play lists that give alot of kills per round.

Pfft. I don’t care about my stats. I want to actually, y’know, enjoy the game… What a concept, eh?

I try to play good, but I’m not gonna roll around and throw a tantrum just because my K/D isn’t 2+.

If I had a ‘stat’ I cared about, it’s teamwork and coordinated strategies/objective play- not my individual stats. That’s what ruins teamplay on games like Halo, is everyone caring about individual performance. A hint: nobody but you cares about your personal stats unless you’re like, say, that crazy guy who made the plasma repeater his universal tool of destruction in Reach.

No. W/L ratio is a much better skill indicator and also if you’re getting mad at someone in MP the one of you who’s team won that game is better. Simple solution to everything… right?

I personally think 1v1s are more a way for people with a high sense of pride who believe they may have lost solely due to their team and nothing more to try and make themselves feel better.

Well, from my personal experience any way. I’m absolutely dreadful in any form of 1v1 or free-for-all settings, however in a team based game I dominate and am often at the top of the scoreboard when playing with my friends.

So, if someone challenges me to a 1v1 I reply with a full blown rematch against a team of their choice or a 2v2 with my doubles partner. Skill is measured by the synergy and flow of a team, more than much of anything else in Halo.

Win loss ratio is a terrible indicator of skill as well. If I’m a random how come I should be judged by teammates gameplay, good or bad?

this. i hope there are invisible ranks in H4, and id also like invisible stats (KD, win/loss, ect.) the game would be better without so many people that dont care about your opinion if you dont have a 4.0 kd or whatever.

To have my lowest Covenant ToD higher on my ToD list than my highest UNSC ToD.

Far as I am concerned, having a 2.0 K/D is pretty much a given for me at this point. My own K/D was above 2 before I decided to scrap UNSC weapons and had to “relearn” the maps and the game to use only Covie ones. My K/D instantly dropped to 1.6 and I had to recover it to where it is now (1.85 and still rising).

TBH being able to spawn with a Carbine/Storm Rifle instead of being forced to seek them out on the map will make a VERY big difference in my overall K/D anyway.

My W/L took a hit at one point too, was 80% for the first like 4-5 months of Reach, and is now down around 70%. I’ll need to work on that too. Hopefully the team I used to play with will get back on Halo, we would go on like 30 game win streaks. It was awesome.

You have to look at both a player’s K+A/D (I say K+A/D because ultimately both Kills and Assists just mean you HELPED your team score a kill. Doesn’t matter if you got the last shot or not it counts) AND their W/L.

K/D and W/L ratio will be my main stats.
