What are you hoping to see out of infection?

To be honest, when I think of Halo, I think of;
-Story
-Matchmaking
-Shoot, grenade, melee, -Yoink!-
-Custom games

And when I think of custom games, I think of infection. I know I’m not alone when I say it’s CRAZY fun to round of a bunch of friends, and play infection on a custom map. So what are you hoping to see in Halo 4 related to infection?

I would personally love to see a return of the living dead playlist, but with a few changes. Like headshots only, no radar, no camping spots or choke points where zombies get just owned by humans, and NO Boardwalk-ish map that gets picked. Every. Single. Time.

I hope that there’ll be playlist that feature community infection maps, like in Halo 3.

But yeah, to sum it up:

What are you hoping to see out of infection?

I’m hoping to see zombies.

(Productive post ftw!)

For custom games I want alpha zombies back, and the good camo setting to be permanent camo. Meaning I dont want to become visible when I move.

I’m hoping to see flood infected skins, I would think that it could be doable, even if they can’t get it out the door on release, they could put it in a later DLC now that everyone has to download/install all the multiplayer maps to play multiplayer.

A Great double xp weekend playlist with BOTH Ranked and Social playlists
coming back ever few weeks

alpha zombie as a standard feature again like they had it as in Halo 3 and not tacked on 7 months after release like they did with Reach…

I am hoping to NOT SEE ANYTHING related to infection. Its stupid.

This thread of mine contains most of my Infection ideas

Can’t wait to see how Infection turned out in Halo 4.

Flood Combat Forms when infected in Infection!

I’m also hoping for an Infinity Infection, where your POD choices are Hardlight Shield or Autosentry. I think that’d be cool.

An option where Zombies only spawn with Melee (and Flood Combat Forms can definitely allow this).

And specifically for the Living Dead playlist: Custom Infection maps ONLY!

Good Maps

The sword has next to no lunge. I wonder if there will even be a chance for zombies against shotguns.

For it to return as a weekend playlist, so that players aren’t drawn away from regular matchmaking…

We buy Halo to play Halo…

Regular players are pleased with the larger populations for their playlists, and living dead fans will have twice as much fun in the weekend because it’s rare to play.

But that’s just my opinion.

Game modes:
Braaaains
Save one bullet (For maps with chokepoints where people will camp this gamemode will even it out)
Alpha zombies
Also i’ve always wanted a game mode where you can pick up weapons on the map like BR’s, AR’s and so on

Settings/maps:
Maps made for infetcion like in H3(and better made than the ones made in Reach)
small or no radar(10m max)
Ability to pick up dead humans ammo
No friendly fire
No grenades
No overshield for the last man standing
Camo or overshield pick-ups as a help for the zombies in modes like Braaaains or Alpha zombies (Not needed for all gamemodes or maps tho)

And last but not least: Double exp weekends! (So the population will stay high on regular playlists and you’ll feel an erge to play living dead again. This’ll also keep the coustom games going since you can’t always play zombies in wargames)

I’m hoping to see infection banished to a special weekend only playlist again, where it should have stayed.

I second this

I’m hoping to see a permanent Living Dead playlist with good gametypes and maps as well as properly functioning custom Infection options.

I agree, it loses its punch if its there all the time.

I hope that it’s either reserved for dbl xp weekends or that infection, grifball, and race are all put into ONE playlist instead of each of them having their own.

I would settle for either of those. Or just throw them in something similar to the action sack.

All those game types really do lose their punch when they become a permanent fixture.

Flood-Based Zombies.
