What Are You Going to Forge?

Recently there’s been a bunch of people complaining about the December update, so to get my mind (and possibly others people’s minds) off of those complaints, I want to know: What are you planning on/Making with HALO 5’s forge?

I am making a tower where each level is defended by the defense team, they cannot go down a level, they have to go up. And the opposition has to go into that level and capture the stronghold in there. Once all three are captured the offensive team wins. If time runs out, the defense wins. There will be 3 levels. Basically a mini Invasion gametype.
(I’m still working on how the game will play out though, but that’s the idea behind it.)

I am going to make some super smash bros inspired maps and game types. I will have the levels high up with several tiers, all floating above the ground and pretty small at that. I will make the game type so that everyone has infinite health, greatly increased jump height, and where weapons do a ton of knock back damage. Of course the gravity hammer would have been the preferred weapon, but I am thinking rockets and infinite grenades would do well. Basically, the only way to score is to know off the other players into the “kill barrier” below as weapons wouldn’t technically do damage. So basically playing smash bros on Xbone.

I was thinking about a similar map for Strongholds. 500% grenade knockback with really low or zero damage. And of course all the other knockbacks jackedup to max. I was going to call it Spartan Bouncehouse or something similar.

For my forging projects? Probably standard CTF based maps until I become more adept and can make better maps.

I don’t know if I will be able to build anything cool I mostly figured out the new controls now but there is a severe lack of items in my opinion.

Husky raid maps with lots of variants. Inverted (hill instead of valley) doors scripted to buttons back by the flag, etc. Made a spartan company just for husky raiders too (can you tell I like husky raid?)

The millennium falcon. That’s gonna be my first big project, hopefully make it a fully functional close quarters map.

I also want to make a map based on the 2nd and 3rd dream layers from Inception.

Its tradition for my brother and I to make a map with bases where we can invite friends and annihilate everyone. I’ve already started working on my base and once my brother gets his xbox one for Christmas hes going to start building his.

Nothing. The only time I used and enjoyed Forge was when I had a friend or two over and we would split-screen forge a bunch of zany maps and generally mess around and have a good time. Since I can’t do that anymore and I have no desire to make online friends, I really don’t have much use for Forge.

I’m going to make a couple of maps for Infec- Never mind.

So I am forging and create half my map and get real excited because now I can just duplicate the whole thing. When I duplicate my map the game crashes and I’m taken back to the dashboard. Finally after like 7 reloads I get a successful copy by I accidentally delete the original, so I reload forge. This time I lock the original and save. Copy and once again the game crashes on me. Then when I reload, the original is still there but I cannot touch it. I cannot unlock it or anything it is now part of the map!? Does anyone know how to solve this?
