Well, you come here and read why the title, well, let me tell you, if YOU haven’t play tested a game with either a DEMO or a BETA, what 343i are giving us is not BETA.
We are not testing the game, we are NOT testing new stuff besides the spartan abilities? Let me show you:
Remember the Halo 3 BETA? Yeah you tested gametypes, vehicles, and abilities
Remember the Halo Reach Beta? Yeah, we tested new gametypes, new weapons, and armor abilities. IF you played the Battlefield 4 BETA/ DEMO you were testing Obliteration a new gametype with new vehicles and new weapons.
I could keep on but by now I assume you get it.
So, here we are… testing Slayer? (wohoo new gametype everyone )With no new weapons…DMR, BR, Assasult Rifle, Sniper, SMG… yeah sure those are so new.
Think about the new weapons, new vehicles, new gamemodes… who are testing those? I don’t trust and never trust them to test any game ever. (MCC anyone)
I don’t think you understand what a beta is. Plus breakout will be available next week, and we’ll be seeing brand new weapons like the Hydra in the coming weeks.
They are cycling through content (maps, weapons and modes) to focus test everything, stop being thick about it. If you didn’t know this information you are forgiven, if you did then please troll elsewhere.

Get off your high horse.
It says right in the title, “Halo 5: Guardians ARENA MULTIPLAYER BETA”.
This isn’t a beta. This isn’t a multiplayer beta, either.
This is an arena multiplayer beta.

Sure, there is a marketing bonus to it, but . . . .- This is not a demo. If it were a demo beta (which are very common), they happen 2 months before the game is released to build hype. You don’t do that when your game is a year away because the hype will fade away.- Gametypes are not the only thing that need testing. We are testing the sandbox in general and how it plays (dash moves, clamber, ground pound, etc). They want feedback on these because they are relatively easy things to tweak.- They are testing matchmaking in the real world. Please, complain about this a little more. I want to hear about how you don’t want them to test matchmaking. Maybe if they did this with MCC, Halo 5 would be driving hype instead of driving damage control.

Several abilities, 7 maps, 2 gametypes, all weapons’ new mechanics.
More game modes would help I agree on that but like others say mechanics, and multiplayer connection and a million and one coding things are being tested
This is an entirely new version of the game. How are we not testing anything? More has changed between halo 4 and this than any other two successive halo games.
Plus, they’re adding more weapons, at least two more maps, and at least two more game types later in the beta. This beta lasts three weeks. That’s about the longest any of the recent betas for big games has lasted.

all weapons. Just because it has the same name as previous guns doesn’t mean it’s “the same”. Every gun is “new” because it has different mechanics, fire rate, accuracy, recoil, damage, etc. So even though the Assault Rifle is 13 years old and has been in Halo since the beginning, it is still a “new” gun that requites testing and balance.

I suggest you, to check the links I provided and see what those games offer and really was meant for playtesting. Also "Halo 5: Guardians will focus on providing matches that are balanced and competitive" Means the rest of the maps are going to be CQC. So no Vehicles to test, new gametypes to test, Hydra is like the grenade launcher from Halo Reach, just human version like.

What was meant for playtesting in other games is not the same as what is meant for this game. I figured that was fairly obvious. Halo 5 offers different things and has different focuses.
The other maps in the beta will be CQC, yes. The beta is focused on arena multiplayer, like how Battlefield 4 was focused on Conquest. The other maps in the game are not all CQC.

Of course, but as you can see, you don’t test slayer… it’s already been there for a long time, also it was Obliteration, new gametype!
We shouldn’t be testing just slayer, but new gametypes as well.
You see, you can have more than one gametype to be tested, 343 can have their precious slayer arena style and let’s say “CTF with rockets” I don’t know a new gametype that really needs to be there and be tested, new weapons too! In H: Reach we got to use and test new covenant and humans weapons, same goes for Halo 3.

We’re not testing slayer. You’re the only one who, incorrectly, said that.
A beta doesn’t have to test a gametype. It can test weapons and maps and mechanics, etc. The beta for Halo 5 is testing the new player and weapon mechanics, just like any other beta can test new weapons or modes. Arena 4v4 is the setting for this test.
We are getting new gametypes in the coming weeks. The beta is 4 weeks long and has a different focus each week.
You don’t need to throw everything possible into the beta. That’s counter-productive.
Also, just to make it clear, you don’t have to test a new freaking gametype.
