This rank structure rewards players getting high kill games with positive K/D over participation in the objective.
If you lose a game but you focus on high kill count with high K/D ratio you either will lose little to no points or even stay exactly where you are at completely having disregard for the objective mode.
If you lose a game but focus on objective and you break even on your K/D you lose a significantly larger amount of rank points regardless if you have 85% of the activity on the objective for your team.
This system seems completely off, i have games where my whole team is diamonds going against platinum players and we gain 30% progression in rank off the win, then I have games going against onyx players with people on my team that are still doing placement matches and if we lose I’ll de-rank.
I want consistency, I want the simple win or lose system. I have guys that focus on 3.0 K/Ds instead of capturing the flag every game and I’m assuming that wasn’t 343i intent when they designed competitive.
