They are adult volunteers. Generally selected from the best of the best of existing military personnel.

They weren’t brought up like the SPARTAN-II’s or III’s. They’re just volunteers. That’s got to count for something.

SPARTAN-II’s were augmented during adolescence and were hand-picked for their extraordinary traits, while the SPARTAN-III’s were augmented in their early teens. The IV’s are supposed to be the best of the best, but against beings who were taught the ways of war since the moment they can comprehend they might not be so good. Unless, of course, there are technological advancements (better, faster armor, personal AI) that can match the talents of the II’s and III’s.

You’ve to account for the fact that the armor the 2’s and 3’s were equipped with worked so well that any other person would have been injured had they not the enhancements that the model 2’s and 3’s had.

The armor is supposedly “lightweight,” but just how much lighter is still out there because up until the newest iteration of the Mjolnir armor, they had a weight that would probably match that of the cars in the streets today.

Volunteers are a good way to go, they have the needed experience, and the UNSC doesn’t have to train their newest shock troopers as long as previous generations.

In summary: this generation wanted to grow up to be just like Master Chief! :stuck_out_tongue:

some of them are surviving SPARTAN-II’s and III’s, also other survivors from the Human-Covenant War.

Spartan IV’s will be far weaker then a Spartan II. Mostly because they had much weaker MJOLNIR armour, meaning they had weaker augmentations.

Because the Spartan II’s were the only ones who could use real MJOLNIR because there superior strength, reflexes etc could keep up with the armours incredible rate of work.

A weaker soldier wearing S-II MJOLNIR would get crippled. Well, DID get crippled. That’s why they need weaker armour. Therefore they will be weaker then the S-II’s.

Lighter version, the mark VII was as well lighter yet Naomi used it.

Evidence for that? Just because it’s lighter doesn’t mean it’s weaker. Ever stop to think it’s made of more advanced material?

> Because the Spartan II’s were the only ones who could use real MJOLNIR because there superior strength, reflexes etc could keep up with the armours incredible rate of work.

Spartan-IIIs could wear “real” MJOLNIR too.

Yet again, Spartan-IIIs could wear MJOLNIR.

SPARTAN-III’s can wear MJOLNIR, too. Just as long as they can survive augmentations needed to use the MJOLNIR.

Imagine Kelly wearing lighter MJOLNIR. o.o
