What are the Guardians?

We all know that H5G will focus on the Guardians but there is very little information on them aside from the fact
that they are Foreunner and cause destruction on a great scale. What is their origin? What is their purpose?
Why is there no information on them in Forerunner databases? Will they be weapons or as a defense against a greater threat?
Welp I just wanted to try and start a discussion so chat if you want to :expressionless:

They were built by the forerunners to essentially be planet police.

Weeooh, weooh, motha-yoink-ars!

I think they may be planet-killers.
In the Forerunner trilogy, Bornstellar witnessed a fleet of Seekers, Warcraft no larger than 20 meters, ripping out huge chunks of the Prophet’s homeworld and sending them crashing back down. That was their method of planetary bombardment.
The Guardians are over 1,400 meters long, so their power must be truly immense.
As for their purpose, that’s fairly obvious, if my theory is correct:back during the Forerunner-Flood War, they were used to destroy planets overrun by Flood infection. With the Flood’s possible return in the future of Halo, it would make sense for the Forerunners to leave these Guardians for Humans to claim, as they would be perfect for eliminated the early stages of Flood infection.
Claiming an army of Planet-killing War machines would be a huge game-changer for Humans on the Galactic stage, as it would secure Human dominance in the Orion Arm and beyond. But, the idea that ONI might get their hands on the Guardians is truly a frightening thought, as there’s no telling what they would do with them.

Say good bye to the the outer colonies… That would be so epic if humanity got guardians on their side though! The covenant wouldn’t ever bother us again

While I’m all for speculation, it’s reached that point where you might as well wait to play and find out!

They are large, scary and won’t join my Spartan Company :frowning:

Well, if they were created to fight the Flood, then it would be safe to say that they are “Guardians of the Galaxy”.

All i know is that i will apparently spend a lot of time building one…

Giant things that will kill you

They wont let me go out of bounds…

they are the things we kill with no regret and throw a feast in the honor of those that we slay

Cool, looking forward to taking some of these down.

BIG birdes

Was there any information on who the Forerunner Wardens are? I’m more intrigued about them. Do they protect the domain or something?
