the reason why i have add the F2P on the list is super easy.
since if you make the multiplayer F2P then you remove also the banning effect’s so banning somebody’s game for cheating what is the only tool to stop the cheating problem for good has become useless same if you get a time limit bann has become useless.
so reporting the cheaters is also becoming pointless work to do.
and most off all most costmatic stuff in this case for halo infintie its all the costmatic stuff are behind a paywall so the grinding part has been remove when that make’s it more fun to grind for you stuff by compleeting challance or so like in halo 4 have done with some armor part’s or use achievements to unlock then like there have done in halo reach and halo 3.
F2p model feels like a cheap cash grab, and desync takes 50% of the skill factor away. I feel like most matches are determined by whoever wins the network lottery instead of pure skill.
A lot of good reasons above. Me personally as a campaign player primarily its the quality of the campaign. Sure more DLC would be nice but old campaigns didn’t need DLC
Its the only campaign I got bored during and the only campaign I only played once. Its just boring and monotonous without any really great moments. Missions had such variety to them with great seat pieces and moments in other titles (even CE which literally re-uses maps). Infinite feels like you’ve done everything by the time you first meet the harbinger.
Co-Op came too late, none of my friends have the game installed and none of us liked the campaign so why reinstall when we can just go play MCC co-op. Though its put such a dampener on our appreciation of halo that we actually play less MCC too.
As for the loss of players, might be due to some of the bugs in the game that are noticeable in PvP, as I usually play Campaign I do not notice PvP game bugs, but I have read plenty of articles mentioning such and Bungie not fixing them, that is another topic for another day.
Bungie is also using a graphics engine that required average specs to run efficiently, now I reckon if they use the graphics engine used for HALO: Reach and Halo: 4 then players with lesser than-average specs would happily play as they could join their friends online and in Co-Op play.
I also know the graphics engine is not solely the issue it is the game bugs, but still, if the Graphics engine used in Halo Reach and Halo 4 was used in Halo Infinite then things would have been a lot better, say what you will about 343 Industries and bad Campaign storylines, at least they used a graphics engine that the majority of computers could handle as new PCs are not cheap and nor are the graphics cards.
When I initially started playing Halo Infinite my less-than-average graphics card handled the game decently (was surprised) then my first update since installing the game and the graphics went to those from late 20th and early 21st Century games.
As it stands until I can put together enough money to get a new graphics card I cannot play Halo: Infinite despite its flaws.
Aim assist on the mouse boosted mnk player performance and despite NOTHING changing in terms of stats overall in matches, crossplay has become a new hot-topic, and you my good man have made no effort prior to February this year to even mention PC.
Population was down way before December and the implementation of aim assist for mouse where the major mnk playerbase resides merely boosted PC population a little.
So, the point is, it’s either bandwagoning or having a scapegoat for unrelated shortcomings.
That makes absolutely no sense. I posted over a few days in May '22 and now Feb '23. You said the update occurred in Dec '22 and I first mentioned PC in Feb '23, which is literally the first time I’ve posted since said update. Is your beef that it took me 2 months to post? Well, as I said in my earlier post, I mentioned that if someone had asked me in December, I would have had a different take. I did. What brought me here was 2 months of noticing a drastic change in my experience, specifically related to PC players. I waited 2 months because that’s a reasonable enough sample size–not even knowing all the details of when a particular update was made. If anything, this strengthens my position.
Otherwise, you’re not being very clear with what your beef is.
The only thing I ever notice in game is that you know when someone is mnk when they grab sniper etc it’s a gong show all of a sudden with no scopes and snipe shots lmao. That’s the craziest thing other then that I mean reaction time sure don’t notice as much in br battles or anything. I do notice the hit reg Desync more on computer based lobbies though. That’s a real thing. They should try work that out. Would prob stop this mnk thing
No, I find it dishonest.
PC… is all fine until an aim-assist update, and suddenly crossplay is killing the game, which has been in a severe rough spot for a year, where mouse didn’t have aim-assist. Everyone is up in arms about PC players… oh, sorry.
now, and made out to be a culprit in Infinite’s downfall since before the aim-assist update, but there was no outcry back then.
A position never worded at all, that’s not strenghtening a position, that’s taking one.
Let me guess, oddities which can be traced back to more desync?
More players getting good stats? Yeah, my performance which I deemed good before the aim-assist update did boost, but I’m having rots too. However I’d also chalk it up to normal occurrences in a game losing its population, long time players are more likely to be above the average cut. They’re more likely to stay longer with the game.
If PC cheating was rampant prior to the AA update, wouldn’t you think you’d have actually said anything?
Controller players achieve that as well.
Computer based lobbies?
What happened to desync and the Xbox One then?
Halo: Infinite is only one part of 343’s failures. To look at the full picture you have to zoom out so we can see Halo 4 and Halo 5 as well (I don’t consider the MCC a 343 product, it’s more of a Bungie emulator with Halo 4 stuffed in there just so 343 can call it their own). None of these games properly connect to one another whether it be story wise or game play wise. They are all different. The only connecting things are character/faction names and some locations. They have retconned their own retcons. They have undone their own changings of the lore. Which has proven to be a complete waste of time for fans and 343 as well.
Let’s just face it, 343 is just a bunch of rip off artists with no creativity left in the chamber. Their motto is “fake it til you make it!” Maybe next time 343 should copy and paste mechanics and game ideas from the people who invented Halo and perfected it and made it the massive success that is was years ago… but no… 343 wants to chase other genres and other video games that are completely UNLIKE Halo lol which is why their changes fail time after time.
They try to make Halo as un-Halo as possible while telling us it’s an “evolution for Halo.” Uhh no. Halo didn’t need to evolve this way… All these other AAA games didn’t “evolve,” they literally redo the same crap every title with only slight differences year to year and any major differences get reverted to the old ways at some point. Even 343 ends up reverting their “new ideas” to the old way Halo has worked lol So why does 343 suddenly think Halo NEEDS this forced evolution AGAIN, perhaps because they don’t know what to do? The Halo games were fine before 343 got their hands on them, they have created such drastically different Halo titles each time they releases one that the player population is split into thirds or fourths now.
How can the fans come to an agreement on anything when the creators are flip flopping the rules, the mechanics, the expectations of Halo in random directions every time a new title drops…
Your response is laughable. Not only did you cut multiple posts to make it look you were responding in kind, you placed them out of order. I’ve been on message boards for decades, this is classic distortion.
That, and you’re clearly not reading what I’m posting. Your beef that I didn’t post about it for 2 months makes absolutely no sense, when I’ve only posted on two main occasions. I was clear that I’ve seen a huge difference since then, and there is no reason to require me to post within a certain time limit for my claims to be valid.
Anyway, your entire point that because I didn’t say anything in December means I can’t say anything now is ridiculous and moot.
And, yes, a person waiting 2 months for a large enough sample size to complain about something is absolutely the right thing to do. I don’t jump to conclusions on a small sample size. To try to say the opposite is just…
I ususally after that i played halo for a while i got bored, i do play some of the open world games, there is any chance we could play a multiplayer in the halo open world? Its such a beautiful world but is not accessible, i would enjoy to do a sort of game royal or a side mission to gain something, just to have fun in multiplayer on the halo world
You’ve taken my whole comment out of context picking things that get you upset. You realise Im not against mnk and I was saying it’s fine? Right? Just because they have a massive sniping advantage doesn’t mean I don’t agree on letting them play. Where they have advantages they have some disadvantages slightly. Don’t attack my comments in that way. I said if they fix the cross platform connection to computer players then no one’s going to argue about mnk players it would end.
Guys,
Remember, We’re all here because we want to see HALO WIN, not win arguments or debates from disagreements… Lets keep it clean, stop all the back and forth, just make your points and move on, Please! We have to stick together on this and even though we may not agree, we have to find a middle ground that we all can agree on as a community, thats why I made this post.
