is it when you have to push the right button for the character to do something? Like ninja gaiden III? Thats not gonna be in Halo 4 right?
Think of…
PUSH X TO PULL KNIFE OUT OF CHEST.
But yes. Personally, I hate them… but who knows. Perhaps 343i can do them right…
Yeah pretty much. I enjoy QTE’s. They are something different to see.
Anything like these:
Ace Combat
Ninja Blade
Mass Effect
Heavy Rain
Need For Speed
Call of Duty
Battlefield
The Witcher
Shenmue
Tomb Raider
Azura’s Wrath
Yes akin to Ninja Gaiden, Dead Space, Gears of War, etc.
I don’t know how I feel about this. Its never been in a halo game before but I enjoyed it in both Gears and Dead space series.
As long as it doesnt happen to much.
-Yoink- -Yoink- I hope not.

Just objectives and points of interest in Gears. Chainsaw battles I wouldn’t really count as QTE’s,seeing as you can engage in them if you want, they aren’t something that happens.
They first appeared in Shenmue on the Dreamcast.
That game was amazing.
QTEs are not amazing, however they do allow for interactivity to be added to otherwise passive cutscenes. The worst kind of QTEs are the ones where if you miss them you die - what’s the point in that? If they can’t change anything you may as well just have shown me the uninteractive movie.

Me too, as long as they aren’t overused. It shouldn’t be like 3 times per mission, it should appear where it makes sense and then it would be cool.
Press A repeatedly!!!
I personally don’t find like it would fit in Halo, Specially in multiplayer.
I don’t agree with any QTE’s being in any Halo game. Ever.
I personally believe that QTE’s are the worst invention that game developers could put into a game, and I think that they massively detract from any game on the market.
QTE’s should never be in a Halo game! Period.

You’re thinking of the bad kind of QTE. The good kind is when they can have an effect on what happens, if a QTE has different outcomes depending on whether you hit it or not then I don’t think there’s necessarily a bad thing. Shenmue did it this way, you’d be getting chased by someone through alleyways, and there’d be QTEs to dodge obstacles or pull things to slow the guy chasing you. If you hit them all you escape if you don’t you have to fight him.
I think that’s a way it can work, the problem is that in most games it’s actually saying:
“PRESS A TO NOT DIE”
“NOW PRESS B TO NOT DIE”
“NOW PRESS X TO NOT DIE”
and so on…
If you miss any of them then you die and have to start again which is unbelievably tedious and is frankly unforgivable for anyone being paid to produce entertainment products.

Hopefully you mean co-op, otherwise god help you
