So i have noticed that when playing in multiplayer getting the drop on players in slayer is pretty easy, i do pretty good in swat, and in snipers (RIP). I guess those two variants suit my game play the most but i really like the idea of slayer different weapons i guess… However i noticed ( it really ticked me off last night) i would start a gun fight land 4 of 5 DMR shots see the sheilds drop so it should be easy to finish off. I was putting 2-5 shots into them and they will get to a corner and hide. What am i doing wrong??? no shields and they live as soon as my go down i’m dead. Now people are going to comment aim for the head. of course i am shooting them in the head but they still live. Don’t understand, its frusterating to get the drop and not be able to kill someone when you know there shields are down and your still shotting them???
The other that has me confused is starting a gun battle with a DMR scoped in. I notice that when he lands a shot it makes my gun jump, which really makes perfect sense. I notice though that if i am in a gun battle and i started the fight that my that i will die first even though we are hitting each other in the head. It’s like there is no gun jump on for the other player. Has anyone else out there seen this or Experienced this???
Let me know. I used to use a level 6 sensitivity in Reach but backed it down to 3 in Halo 4?
Sometimes after I have a bad match I will go to theater and see what the hell went wrong. During the match I am sure my aim was good and some how i was just screwed. Then after watching it through the opposing players perspective I realized my aim was off and he just flat out beat me. Than again other times I realized I was screwed, lol, sometimes you get the bear, and then other times the bear gets you.

Crouching helps you stay off the radar, but that point is moot during a fire fight, so unless you are at range the only person who benefits from your crouching is the strafing enemy Spartan shooting at your slowing moving stationary self

Assist do not bother me as long as we win, I had a match where I went 9-22-2, it was +5, +5, +5, the whole match, I was assassinating a Spartan, but instead of the sweet cry of ASSASSINATION it was just +5, at least I was nice enough to hold the guy while my teammate shot him, lol

You don’t want to bring a COD style of fighting to a Halo fight, it is just as funny when people try to bunny hop in COD while you calmly take a knee and shoot them in the face.
HAHA Hatchet1Brave your so right right… But seriously the bunny hop thing in swat is horrible. The last two Halo’s a friend of mine and me have been hoping that they remove any possibilty of the bunny hop… Unfortunatly that did not happen.

If it is at range then scope all the way, short to medium distance unscoped, I hate being assassinated when going scoped in short distances, and it really narrows your field of vision and that is not a good idea during a close encounter
Every time I go up against someone using the scope I flinch just as I fire and because of the lag it fires AFTER I flinch. So now I hardly use the scope. Game aims for you anyway. So bloody annoying when you aim at one person and your bullet curves and shoots someone else.
I had one game last night where I was aiming at one person and got a kill… of someone I have NO idea where they were because it sure as hell wasn’t the guy I was shooting at. Then I got an Airsassination after being hit by an upside down ghost mid-air. I died and got an Airsassination. Go figure. Seriously, this game is bonkers at times.

My favorite “bonkers moments” are the hail marrys I get from sticking a guy in despiration because the whole team is shooting me, then I die and respawn just as the unfortunate guy explodes in fiery plasma, with instant respawn they don’t even chalk it up as a kill beyond the grave
Lol… you ever get the deaths where you are firing and it appears like you teleport and are STILL firing when you reappear. Totally freaked me out the first time it happened. Thought the game had glitched me from one side of the map to the other.
Best one was when I spawned right in the way of a plasma nade… just as it exploded. I teleported twice that time and it was only going back to it via theatre that I figured out what was happening.
Maybe someone can explain this for me. Like i said getting the drop on someone is not hard, seeing their shields drop and and putting shots into them is very frusterating. I come close to losing it at times especially when i drop the sheilds and a team mate takes it for the assist. ( dont mind the odd assist but double digit assists is really annoying especially when it kills my KD)
Anyway I know that the dmr is suppossed to have bloom on it but when scoped in i also notice really bad recoil. Is there suppossed to be recoil, i thought it was just the bloom on the DMR.
