I think it’s something to do with my positioning or me pushing too far.All game,I always go to kill one person and get shot by the whole team.
Stay with your team.
What are you expecting the enemy team to do, not shoot you?
Just stay with your team as the person said above, or stay within an area where you feel comfortable you can lock down.
Stick to game objective. Slayer =control power weapons #1, control map #2, control enemy spawn #3. Always pick up weapons, always take the high ground, learn more routes, work the map.

That’s…pretty clever, actually.
Each map has weapons set in certain places for certain reasons. For example, when an overshield spawns a plasma pistol isn’t too far out of range. Then long range weapons are far from the close range weapons. TheThe rocket spawns in the open near a nade hell ground. You want to stay on same side as map as team at all time. (for example if you split map up into 4 sides squared. Stay on two next to each other, this will make sure the enemy does not spawn behind you). Slayer is a tricky game, if you can’t win the one on one you will loose the game 60% of the time (rough estimate).
Arena Playlist are about controlled advancing at precise times. Usually about top mid control, power weapons, and slaying. Learn to watch radar and the time. Power weapons spawn 2 minutes, believe br and grenades spawn 30 seconds. A player that dies will respawn in 8 seconds (away from you and your team).
Learn how to become a high assist player, pick angles that are in view of your team, if you are shot first always run. Rambo is cool and all but it will only get you so far (high diamon)…
Look into response time considering the equipment you are using. Not saying go pro and buy top notch stuff, but if you are on a cheap wireless controller with attachments and playing on a huge screen over WiFi, well then I may see you a full second before your button press actually submits. Use microphone. Learn names of parts of maps. Watch the time (needs to be said twice)
Learn how to change the pace of a game. If you are playing and loosing, don’t keep doing the same thing over and over (sounds like duh but we all tried to make it work with that one chick we knew wouldnt work, insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results. When I play I worry more about deaths than kills. Keep it under 10 deaths a game, and you are not the reason for loss, whether you have 10 kills or not
I’m sure I could think of more but this should keep you busy a minute… I studied special jumps on all maps, check out YouTube, lots of cool stuff you can incorporate which 75% of people don’t know. And you can think of more. I know a couple on coliseum I use that I have NEVER seen anyone else do for example.
Kill people?
Don’t charge every one. Make sure to have a team mate with you to charge enemies. Pick up and replace your AR with other rapid fire weapons.
I’ve had times where this happens to me, usually after taking an extended break to play a new game, my skills get rusty.
The best advice I can give is to slow yourself down, at the very start of a game, pick a team mate (if playing alone) and ghost them, have their back and watch out for incoming enemies. Try to be more precise with your shots and keep aiming for the head, focus the main portion your vision to your crosshairs when in combat.
Also as always … practice, practice, practice!
A lot of times the key to winning is prevention. Prevent the enemy team from getting overshield and cammo. And always prevent them from obtaining the power weapons. Keep an eye on the time so you know when overshield and cammo are set to re-appear. Even if you at not good with a specific power weapon, pick it up anyway. I’m not the best at sniping in Arena but I’ll always go for it if I notice my teammates not running for it. I grab it and do my best or I’ll use my HANDY DANDY MIC and announce I have it if anyone wants it.

This pretty much sums it up.
Also make sure to choose your battles; you need to know when to pursue an enemy and when to live to fight another time.

You challenge everything which is not good. Chasing a kill will get you killed 97% of the time. If you have someones shields down its ok if they get away, and if you shields are down its best to back up.
Slayer is always easier with a team. Even if you’re playing with randoms, stick with them and play together.
I consistently have an Onyx in Slayer. I’m not a pro or anything, but I do play with really competitive people.
My advice would be to stick with your teammates. If you’re playing with other good people, you can break away from that a little because your teammates are constantly putting pressure on the enemy and will see when your in a confrontation with another player.
Make the enemy come to you more often that the other way around.
Take Advantage of EVERYTHING on the map. The SMG is a power weapon for example. The plasma pistol is absolutely crushing to an over shield. The whole team will push you when they get the OS, with the plasma pistol I usually worst case trade with the OS guy.
Sometimes you have to be smart and get out of a situation. Damage the enemy and get out of there, work with a teammate who’s full shield at that point who can clean that kill up so that you both live. If the enemy is focused on you, and doesn’t get this kill he can easily be blindsided by your teammate by calling out.
Know when to use your pistol and when to use your AR.
Honestly the best advice is to stop thinking of being an awesome player as an individual and focus on being the best teammate possible.
I just got back into Halo. Im ranked Plat and just need a select few people to play with to stop the losing with randoms in matchmaking.

Hmu anytime, I’m currently plat in slayer but have only played solo really this season
If you insist on going out on your own and not sticking with the safety of your team take note.
Always keep your team’s location known to you before you move.
Are they fighting? are they moving? if so which way?
If your team is moving left and is not in combat dont go right. The entire enemy team is that way. They will be facing you btw. if you want to get behind them go Center. It might be safe if you dont see anything.
How many people do you see when you or your team do fight? If you only see 3 turn around that last 1 is behind you.
If you pay attention to the positioning of your team and the kill feed you can flank the enemy team. Just know others flank and prepare to counter.
I’m a lowly Platinum, but what has helped me is understanding that not every encounter has to end in a death or kill. Shoot at everything, but if you are behind in the shootout boost out of there. Sometimes you have to gut it out and hope to get a perfect, but don’t be afraid to let you team mate get the clean up kill while you let your shield come back.
Good teams in Slayer tend to stick together or else learn how to control the map together from different positions. If you’re going solo into the playlist, the best advice I could give you for not running into their entire team alone would be stay near your teammates so they can help you and vice versa in a firefight. Additionally, and I didn’t really ever realize this until Halo 5, but controlling the power weapons is huge. You either give them easy rocket kills, or yourself. Don’t let it be them!

In addition to what I said above, that last sentence there is CRITICAL too. Even though you’re trying to kill the enemy team, it doesn’t always make sense to engage or continue a fight if you can get away. Don’t bull-rush a guy or group of enemies when your health is low, instead, try to either run away or hide… and remember that crouching makes you invisible to enemy radar. If you know there’s three bad guys ahead of you and all you have is a pistol, perhaps you should try to pick your battle or when to best engage them, if at all, until you have a power weapon.
