What all do I have to unlock in Halo 4?

So, we know there is some sort of prestige system after you reach the max rank. After you get to level 50, you can go ten more levels to get a special ability. But what about the weapons and other abilities? Do those also have their own perk system, or can I use whatever weapon I want from day 1?

You can use whatever weapon you want that the system gives you in the default loadouts from day one.

As you level (the 1-50 bit) you unlock weapons to customize your loadouts.

what ?link please

You can only use defaults in your custom classes until you unlock more stuff. However if you don’t like using the AR (me) every map has custom preset loudouts to use so you can grind with decent weapons.

It’s on the front page, the latest Bulletin.

So, If I don’t play immediately, I will be stuck with a default package, while others that have played more will get to choose whatever starting weapons they want?

Every gametype will have pre-set loadouts that you can pick from, so you’ll always have a degree of choice in how you spawn, and be able to spawn with a full loadout like all the other players.

As you level up to fifty, you’ll unlock weapons, AAs and armour mods for use in your own personalised loadouts.

Once you hit level 50, you’ll be able to re-enlist into one of eight Specialisations. Each one consists of ten additional levels, and as you complete those levels you’ll unlock additional armour, emblems, skins and an armour mod unique to that Specialisation. Once you’ve done the ten levels, you can pick another specialisation and do it all again. In effect you have a degree of choice in how you progress your rank and what order you’ll unlock stuff in.

no the others have to earn spartan points to unlock weapons to use

Uh, yeah. Kinda sucks I guess, they should let you choose your first default and from there you unlock new stuff, so it’s not totally unfair.

If by whatever weapon they want, you mean their choice of non-power weapon?

Yes.

And the default packages are numerous in quantity and include all of the same weapons and abilities they will have. Just not in the same combinations as they will. The loadouts are also being tailored for the maps.

So no AR loadouts on Longbow.
