what ACTUALLY makes halo fun

A lot of people are upset at the fact that sprint is in halo 5. I am here to argue that sprint did not break halos gameplay. I personally believe the thing that makes halo fun is the fact that it used to be difficult to be good at.
Things halo needs
-good maps
-even starts
-visible ranks

Halo reach and halo 4 were built around non skilled based ranking systems and giving everybody more of a chance by adding things like armor abilities and loadouts and ordinance drops. In my opinion as long as halo 5 has a skilled rank system, better maps and, even starts I think that halo can evolve new features without breaking gameplay. What do you guys think?

What made Halo fun was it’s evenness, fairness, map design, and simple unmodernized arena gameplay. Sadly that last part is gone, and the series will never be as fun as it used to.

Guns, guns, and more guns.

Some of that is nostalgic b.s., but I have to agree, it’s fairness, death rarely feels cheap in halo.
No progression system to punish new players, equal starts so the better player wins not the better gun, and ideally all the guns being balanced against each other, no God tier (dmr) utilities weapons, no “free kills” auto-aim power weapons ( like the halo 4 beam rifle).
All that said, resisting change doesn’t make halo better or more unique. A feature becomes “modern” because it works.

Blood gulch is what makes halo great. everything about that map… and sidewinder
