What about SWAT!!!!!!

I my self love swat. I am utterly dissapointed of the lack of attention it recieves. Yes it’s nice for them to remove a spawn camping map from it and i was fairly ok with uncaged, but they keep adding maps to all the other game types and seem to leave us SWAT players in the dark, as we are not work the effort or time. we have limited maps as it is and then they take out two maps out and dont even bother with replacements. Every thing else gets all the love. at this point i have accepted the fact it will most likely ever get any love in the for of maps but i had to speak my frustration. Thax for ur time. If your a swat player lets keep this going maybe we will be heard and get a little love from 343. thanx again, Shadow

I’ve been saying it for months. Add in gametypes to SWAT that have AR, Shotgun and Grenade Launcher focus weapon starts to help mix it up.

I’ve even tried it, AR and GL was recieved quite well. One person even said he would play SWAT a lot more if there was GL starts.

there is a map i created a map and game type to even input enen vehicles into swat it took a slight modifcation to damage but worked out verry well

Sorry but these are terrible ideas that would fundamentally change the way SWAT would be played. We don’t new gametypes, hell remove SWAT Magnums, we need more maps.

These are not terrible ideas and keeps the general idea of SWAT in check and doesn’t change the playstyle. Gametypes and playlists need to evolve, otherwise players get tired of playing the same thing over and over again. Stop being afraid of change and new things and actually give it a shot before shooting down an idea and trying to force a great game to go bad.

I’m not afraid of change. I want new maps. What I don’t want is ARs in SWAT. Have you read the description. “Just you, your DMR, and a lot of headshots”. SWAT is a game about precision. There is nothing precise about the AR. Honestly no good SWAT player would ever want or vote for the gametypes you suggested. We don’t even like SWAT Magnums and you want to put ARs in? Not trying to hurt your feeling but those ideas are indeed terrible.

More then half the playlists are precision focused, what’s so bad about different gametypes?
Who cares what the description says, we can change it. Maybe SWAT needs a change after all this time.

and who says ARs can’t require precision? When I tested it we found ourselves being precise and effectively using cover.

Your idea is not good for swat let it go. I like change but not every playlist needs gametypes that don’t even go with what it is.

I’m not going to explain why the AR is imprecise and doesn’t belong in SWAT. Just call it ODST Slayer and suggest it for Action Sack then SWAT players won’t care. We don’t need new weapons. We like the DMR. We need more maps.

What makes Halo great is the vast amount of options and tweaks that a PC game would need a mod for. We have SWAT because of those options. We have Infection and Grifball because of it too. and now Halo is dying because nobody wants to bother trying anymore. Thanks.

I agree SWAT needs some love. NEW Maps, LESS sword base. Seriously, how many times do we have to get stuck playing sword base swat over and over again…

Also some bloom-less SWAT would be a very very welcome addition.

Actually, I wouldn’t like your ideas. He’s not alone. Me and a few of my friends would quit SWAT if these were put in place. But nine people despising your idea shouldn’t be of any concern. Do what you’re doing. If people enjoy it, then good.

adding those kind of elements like the ar and other weapons would be horriffic. swat is swat because of the weapons it has. but this has become way off topic here lol. and sadly i would start to think that 343 would not care if they did loose swat dont seem like there doing anything with it any way. They are just letting it rot. but its is true that my map and game type i made to incorperate vehicles was interesting and i did bring grenades back in that but the rest of the it is the same it just was interesting lol. but i would not have to change any thing in swat just give it a little more love 343. i almost play nothing but swat.

yes how many times can someone stand to play sword base over and over. i have actualy decreased my time playing reach almost to nothing because im tiered of playing the same maps over and over i know they do have the dlc for it but the chances of u running into ppl that also has it is slim. maybe they will help us out with a little update with maps. i cant beleive that inffection has gotten maps before us swat players.

SWAT could benefit from some good forged maps (not like Pinnacle nor Uncaged) that don’t promote spawn camping. I will spawn camp just like everybody else but I still think it is cheap.

Talk about invasion, compared to invasion swat has a 4 star treatment.

Bad idea and that’s what slayer is for. The reason why SWAT doesn’t get any attention because, its a win/lose game. 50% your gonna win, 50% your gonna lose. SWAT is based on awareness and not everyone is good at seeking out enemies. Most people seek to win instead of hoping they’re gonna win.
