What about rally point and shortcuts on building

Perhaps i don’t find how to do it, but having different rally point for barracks/airport/base/armory/garage would be really good, and by that way add some shortcut to access to building by pressing ctrl+& as for units.

Today you have a rally point per big base. All the production coming from this spot can be rally to one destination. If you press Y, it is all yours big plateformes that have a rally point to one place. It is really hard to send out units from building to different place. If you have play other RTS on PC, you clearly understand what i mean.
You can decide to controle your building as your unit. I need reinforcement during a battle, ok, i press “&” and then select the unit i want to produce, and can put a rally point for this one.

The other thing is that unit production are in queue. in the actual game, if you want to send three cyclops, you need to select infantery building separatly, and send one cycle of production for each building, even on different bases, decide to have a rally point three times for each plateform on a same place and send the production. But if you need air force on other place of the map, you have to rego on each base, change the rally point again, and launch your aerial unit. By that time you need to reinforce your first troop with cyclop … if you just miss to reallocate the rally point, they will go with your aerial strike. It is really hard to manage. If you have classical shortcut : i select my three infanetry building and press “ctrl+1” i select each airport and press “ctrl+2” . Then press “1” click one time on cyclop and press rally point “y” only working for my selection of building. 3 cyclop going by their way to my location. Then press “2” click one time on hornet and “y” for an other rally point. But it will not affect the rally point of my barracks!

It is easy, and really funnier, you will have more skirmshes options, not only a death ball with all your unit.

Today, Pc players are separated from Xbox players. So think of PC palyers with a more specific interface.

Just move your units when they get built.

More seriously : when you try to micro your troops, if even you want to send production …, you just can’t without leaving your fight. If you have shorcuts on building production, it just changes everything. You can launch production just by short keys, and if you can at this moment send directly your troops on this place it is even better.
Here except pressing “w” to go to one of your base, and even repress w cause you want to go to your next base, leaving the action, launching your production, and press y to where you fight, to send all rally points(you can decide which building production should go to one place different from the others) to this fight

I’m quite confused. I don’t want some overcomplicated mess like StarCraft with 8 million key shortcuts. That’s why I like this game so much :slight_smile:

This is a good idea but even in HW1 it didn’t exist. If they could grant this type of control I’m all for it.

I think you misuderstand starcraft and player base on multiplayer. from bronze to silver league you have 60% of the players, then less and less as you go in the upper league.
So even on starcraft, people that are not so good with shortcut can enjoy en pvp cause they fight vs a player of their level. and trust me, bronze and silver league you have tons of players that are around 30 to 50 APM that is pretty low. But you can enjoy your pvp anyway.

Adding such shorcuts will even help you to do smoother things. Today, it is really sick to have to constantly go back to your main base, etc etc (read above), shorcut, even if you use only two of them like group building and different rally points … it will just help you a lot in doing what you want to do.
