I really liked Halo 5 Beta. But we just played 4v4 and it’s never been my favorite gamemode. I know that a lot of people love the epic Big Team Battle. And I gotta ask: Where are the vehicles? The dash skill, ground pound, yeah, that’s ok. But what about our famous 8 versus 8 player?
I hope they don’t screw up the vehicles again like they did on 4, as well as making good maps so we don;t have to play the same two maps again…like in 4!

Reach wasn’t as bad as 4. At least the Banshee was worth driving!

But the nerf to vehicles (them having their own non regenerating health and not being linked to the driver’s) started in Reach :P.

Reasons why I hated 4’s completely was because the banshee’s maneuvers didn’t work, you try to flip back and you’d decrease in altitude when you want to increase. Also the skybox of the map was too low that you couldn’t even gain much altitude if you wanted to. I literally had to hide behind the base in Ragnarok with it because I would always be seen coming. Heck even the she-bomb was worthless! In Reach, you needed good teamwork to take down a banshee pilot that was actually good with it, but in Halo 4 I’ve seen players including myself get only 3 kills and die because it’s useless even against one person. (And I’ve played with people who would get Unfrig’s with the shee in reach)
But I do guess the spartan laser ordinance played a roll in this.

And by teamwork you mean slightly and remotely competent players wielding DMRs just constantly shooting at your tin foil plated vehicles lol.
Sorry Reach absolutely ruined them from being vehicles and turned them into super fragile power weapons.
I believe Big Team Battle is what made Halo, Halo. The Warthogs, Banshees, Scorpions and Wraiths and finally the Ghosts.

And yes, Halo Reach made a bad decision with adding vehicle health which didn’t regenerate together with shields to vehicles.
However it was still fun, if your Warthog took too much of a beating, you simply jumped out and grabbed the freshly spawned one.
Meanwhile, Halo 4 added Spartan Lasers and other power weapons as Ordnance drops.
Players also Spawned with Plasma Pistols and Plasma Grenades. Vehicle gameplay went to hell with Halo 4 completely.
The Mech was fun but overall the Warthog gameplay and other iconic things faded away in Halo 4. Not to mention they removed the very iconic Warthog engine sound and the chain gun’s as well.
Also, bring back Elites. DO IT, DON’T COME WITH THE CANON/LORE -Yoink-, IT’S EASY TO SOLVE.
The Arbiter and the UNSC have their elite forces, Spartans and Spec Ops Elites train together as a way to improve Spartan/Elite cooperative missions and relations between the Arbiter and his Sangheilei and the UNSC

Yes, you saw no one rushing to jump into the Warthog in 4. it was just a deathtrap.
And yes you could just abandon a damaged one but that’s not the point. A skilled driver (like me) could take the 1st warthog spawned on the map and have it last through an entire CTF match by skillful driving, taking breaks, when to attack etc…
Plus with the older system you could actually “capture” your enemies vehicles whereas now it’s extremely difficult to do so. Not only is it hard to have the vehicle remain intact but at that point it’s likely damaged enough that you wouldn’t want to hop in it.

Probably but that wasn’t so much the question lol.
They should just take the new spartan abilities out for 8v8, (maybe 16v16 since it’s next gen?) btb is about vehicles and team work, not camping around every corner, dashing back to cover immediately when you’re shot by a dmr/br from across the map, as the entire enemy team proceeds to snipe you with their dmrs and brs from their spawn :^). The Falcon has to return, no matter what though, and the Mantis was a troll vehicle, not really sure whether that should be in public matchmaking games or not.

The reasons vehicles didn’t work in Halo 4 was because everyone could spawn with Plasma Pistols and Plasma Grenades. As soon as you tried using a vehicle you’d get insta-EMP and stuck or boarded.
