What a nightmare - 2 copies of halo 5 on 2 xbox's!

I finally bought an extra copy of ‘Halo 5’ on disk for my son and me to play some coop campaign together - Yahoo.

I have played through the first couple of chapters but waited until we got the chance to play together in campaign mode. Hence, we need two xbox ones and two copies of the game. DONE!

But man am I annoyed!

First af all we needed to install the entire game again so I had two copies of the same game ‘Halo 5’ on one xbox one. When it finished installing - It would not play either version of the game with any disk - so we need to delete both games. Reinstalling halo 5 and downloading the 9G patch again.

It has taken us 2 days so fare just installing and uninstalling and in the middle of downloading the patch again and we are still not ready to play.

These problems are unacceptable in a digital age. I have bought an extra xbox one and a copy of the game again. That’s dedication!

Come on developers.

I have been a true fan from the beginning of the journey from the original xbox - why the heck does it take a day to install a game from disk? Whats wrong?

Why in ‘love of god’ can’t your xbox one not detect that there is a game you want to play and a game disk that enables it?
It is super easy stuff to develop - even with security and all the other stuff.

What was suppose to be a brilliant night in the company of Halo 5’s space adventure has turned into an endless installing nightmare. Do not try this at home!!!

They certainly have added difficulty to play the game with over ones. That is one of the features miss the most.

The PR reason that was provided for this design choice is infuriating. If there isn’t split screen in Halo 6, then I won’t be bothering.

I was going to post this myself. I’ve installed one standard version. Then I purchased a limited edition to play with my son on a second xbox but when I tested it on my xbox it installed the game again so I have two installs of Halo 5, both with the exact same game title on the same console.

Now when I put the limited edition game disc in it asks me if I own the game or if I want to purchase it digitally. Why isn’t it recognising the limited edition game disc and playing the game?

Thx, for your replies.
To matador Inc.: Absolutely.
LilTygerLilly: The same goes for me. Couch coop gaming is something i definitely associate with Halo experience!
A Blues fan: Sorry to hear now on our third day - I think we are ready for some coop campaign action - but let’s see if we are encountering any other troubles

Cheers,
Thomas
