above all elese it has to be NO-THING
What I think they’re doing wrong is trying to appease Halo fans by going back to the original. Like they’re saying, “Look! We’re Halo fans too! We also think new stuff sucks and the original was the best!”. I’d prefer it if they tried to fix and improve Halo: Reach rather then changing it into Halo: CE.
It’s why I fear Halo 4 is just going to be CoD after Modern Warfare. Same thing with very little change.

Um first off halo reach is only inproving with all the changes they have made if any company tried to make halo reach any more “inproved” 90% of the halo fans would have left because it was getting out of hand with all the updates for the worse

default reach is on the right tracks, it just needs some tweaking here and there but how 343i is going about it is all wrong in my opinion.
also, how is re-lapsing improving?
Um, what? All good changes to make Reach more balanced and fun to play would be bad and scare away all Halo players?

and how where previous halo’s balanced?
from what i see and remember, they really weren’t and people who say they where are just blinded by nostalgia.

Of course not, it’s pretty much impossible to have a fully, 100% balanced game, even after multiple patches and updates. But I saw more weapon variety in previous Halo games then Reach.

honestly no, halo reach is the most balanced out of them all but the problem with balancing things comes the illusion of a reduced skill gap, in previous halo’s it was either battle rifle or the magnum being used the majority of the time, sure there was other weapons but they never got used because of how weak there use was in comparison.
halo reach has the biggest weapon variety but the problem is that the players refuse to use them and instead prefer to use the weapons they spawn with because they are easier to use and doesn’t require them to use there knowledge as an advantage to gain the upper hand.
Nothing. Its really simple.
343 Industries needs attention, time and faith for their company because they are now the overlords and overseers of all Halo-related content. With their development of the upcoming reclaimer trilogy, they also have to respond and remain in close contact with the community. Microsoft and 343 Industries’ Main Employees thought what better way to hype-up Halo again is to remaster the entire Combat Evolved Campaign, the thing that spawned the whole Halo Universe.
The problem in this however is that by re-making and re-mastering Combat Evolved’s campaign and replicating the Gameplay Mechanics of it into Reach’s Multiplayer can be seen as a sign that 343 Industries prefers the Old over New. Combat Evolved was released in 2001. Gaming and Halo have changed ALOT over the past 10 Years. Now we are almost at the end of 2011 and we have a variety of other fantastic games such as Gears of War, Elder Scrolls, Bioshock, Fallout, Left 4 Dead and other FPS and RPG Games. Halo was the big dog of the FPS Genre but Call of Duty has taken its place. Most people will know that this is because the FPS Gaming Community have changed since ALOT of people migrated from Halo 3 to WaW and MW2 but some others still believe that Halo: Reach is the cause of why Halo’s reign has been faultering which is just a sign of pushing blame into others.
I have yet to see the full extent of 343 Industries. They may have kept in close-communication with the Halo Community but that’s only a way to improve their goals. They may have given a big heap of Fan-Service with Anniversary and its Reach TU Multiplayer but the Campaign was re-made by Sabre Interactive and the Multiplayer was created by Certain Affinity.
343 Industries are a cool bunch Community wise but they haven’t fully won me over. Anniversary for me was simply reliving the Campaign. I loved the CE Campaign when I was a kid but I’ve changed alot in 10 Years. My view on the Campaign has changed.
Let’s see 343 Industries create Halo 4 and see how it will turn out. If they manage to succeed then I will follow on. If don’t succeed then I may continue to follow Bungie into their next Universe of TIGER (Project Name)
343 Industries aren’t doing anything wrong. Trying to go back to the land of Nostalgia and Fan-Appreciation is what they are doing wrong. Those steps aren’t truely necessary. They are fun but they aren’t necessary.
343i haven’t done anything wrong, they’ve practically done everything people have asked them to do. They listen to and support the community, they haven’t even made their first game yet. lets all wait until halo 4 comes out, then we can bash them if they do anything wrong.
> 343i haven’t done anything wrong, they’ve practically done everything people have asked them to do.
that’s what they are doing wrong, it seems that the community is hell bent on destroying halo.

Wow, great post. I have to say I agree with you 100%. I’m not exactly estatic about Halo 4 nor have 343i won my devotion yet. I will judge their ability to make a game when I see the BETA for Halo 4
