What 343 MUST do regarding to kbm vs controller situation

I don’t I promise you. Haha Long as you aim at center mass your first 3 shots and you may have to predict the 4th shot. Taking a quick look at your Halotracker, your HS accuracy is about right. but your shot accuracy is a lot lower on MnK. Either you haven’t dialled in your sens correctly, or not getting enough frames and you perceive the game on MnK as not smooth or natural. How much FPS are you getting? What is your in-game sens and mouse DPI?

Mouse DPI is 600 (1000 polling rate), ingame sens I think is 2.5. My max dpi is 12000 (logitech G502).

Well no the ranged stuff is fairly common with how open all but like one of the maps are (name is escaping me right now, but the entirely interior once where everything’s all white with the raised center platform.) Once you’re beyond the red reticule range it’s generally not of much help at all, but you wouldn’t notice really any difference since it’s using the BR.

Of those you named off the only tough one to hit is Tracer while dashing, Ekko’s kind of just whatever, and Genji is ridiculously easy to kill unless he’s in his ultimate state. Lucio buff is… Helpful but not a game changer unless you’re team rushing.

Wasn’t saying automatic weapons weren’t a huge part of it. Unless someone is using a pistol or a sniper it’s almost always a burst or full auto capable weapon, was just pointing out that it’s not usually: see person and start shooting, continue shooting the entire magazine without stopping as they’re moving in the open or ducking into cover. Unless it was them running dead at you like I mentioned.

Aiming feels great on controller as long as your fps stays above 55. Aim assist on controller feels lower than almost any other Halo aside from maybe H3.

To improve QoL of MnK players I suggest some level of optional aim assist be added.

I really enjoy the snappy strafing in Halo Infinite, and I feel like nerfing strafe acceleration would be the wrong move.

Nah, they want to play other games is all

I have ran into several matches where my accuracy is 10-20% higher than literally everyone else’s, (and I don’t think I am a very good player). I assumed this was a result of me using KBM and just getting matched with a bunch of console players, but now this forum has me wondering.

For the ones who are saying the hit boxes (bullet magnetism) are the same for both controller and mouse and keyboard, you’re wrong. I did testing on this and even made a video…

The hit boxes on controller and clearly larger than with mouse and keyboard. I do agree that controller needs some type of aim assist but, the current aim assist with the bigger hit boxes are too much of an advantage for controller.

Yeah 25 days later and I feel it has only gotten worse on MnK. I am really struggling I tried the controller and it was crazy how much my accuracy increased and my ttk went down!! makes every bullet land on target without even controlling my right analog stick, just strafe for the win. bs, doesnt even feel like I am killing people, just feels like the aimbot is doin all the work

Crossplay didn’t become commonplace until very recently.
For all intents and purposes, this is still a relatively new problem that needs tweaking and experimenting.

As it currently stands, crossplay isn’t competitively viable.

It conficts with Halo’s even starts philosophy. Even starts makes skill the primary factor in gunfights. That includes aiming peripherals.

The only thing needs to be tuned is the matchmaking settings; crossplay being off by default, giving the player the choice of entering crossplay or not.

No kidding. I prefer mnk and can hold my own in most games. The aim assist that controller users get is obvious when playing tactical slayer. Playing TS with mnk is so frustrating as the headshot kills skyrocket for controllers
