Hello all, a fellow Spartan (SpartanMcNugget) and I have been quietly working on developing sure-fire plans for winning what many of us have deemed near impossible. You will see this message in each thread along with a short “Quick Tips” section that contains comments that we found ourselves repeating in several of the variations of certain rounds. We would love to synthesize the despaired information from the forums into each of these threads so Spartans have a one-stop shop for quickly finding out how to beat some of these notorious rounds.
We are almost certainly missing a variation or two for each map, but more importantly, we may be missing a key strategy so please feel free to give us your thoughts or share your videos on how to be successful in Warzone Firefight.
Quick Tips
These apply to all rounds:
-
Extended mag loadout weapons are extremely helpful to any Spartan working on foot. You’ll often find yourself low or out of ammo and these weapons help to slow that problem. - Enemies drop weapons! Some of those weapons are pretty awesome! Splinter grenades and Suppressor are two items that can quickly turn the table on an overwhelming Promethean round. - The flow of Round 2 is always dictated by the REQ level you and your teammates are currently at. Most Round 2 strategies vary by this simply because some will have Level 3/4 REQs available while others only have Level 2. - When facing any round with vehicles you should equip weapons with kinetic bolts. These weapons work much better at whittling down health as you support your fellow Spartans. - Don’t forget that you can EMP vehicles!!! Plasma Pistols are low REQs and can quickly turn the tide in a fight against any vehicle. - In Rounds 4 and 5 find ways to avoid dying. This may sound obvious, but you can more quickly run from the fight, recover your shields, and return to the fight before you would respawn a mile away from the objective.Sanctum
Round 1: -
Kill Prometheans (100) – Strafe headshots to Crawlers to quickly down them. Use Suppressors to help take down Watchers and Soldiers more easily. - Eliminate Hunter Aggravators (4) – Two pairs are dropped in near the garage. As you approach the garage the first pair will come up the hill from the right. As a team, focus fire on the pair lobbing grenades to make short work of them. Be cautious of the Jackals with Beam rifles nearby. Make your way to the second pair and use the Fuel Rod Canons and Beam Rifles from downed AI to make short work of the second pair. - Eliminate the Elite Pathfinders (3) – There are three Elites that spawn in near the garage. This is a straight forward round. Take down each Elite one at time by focusing fire to take down there shields then a single head shot. Needlers from downed Jackals are also extremely effective here.Round 2:
-
Eliminate the Knight Marshals (3) – Three Knights spawn just outside of the garage here. Focus fire on a single night working on his weak points to down him more quickly. You can apply this same method to the final two. Be wary of the other Prometheans spawning as they can down a Spartan quickly. - Kill Elites (25) – If available, Ghosts are the tools for destruction here. Splatter kills rack up quickly for almost any vehicle in this round, however. Spartans on the ground should work in tandem to head-shoot any remaining Elites. - Eliminate Diving Sun – Look up! See that Phantom? Take it down. Another straight forward round that should be approached with kinetic bolt weapons. Focus fire through the round to down the Phantom.Round 3:
-
Defend the Temple – Make your way to the Temple and begin clearing out the Prometheans. Ghosts can be very effective during this round for quickly splattering enemies. Utilize the dropped weapons to make short work of any Knights that make their way into the temple. - Eliminate Tomp, Fury of Balaho – This grunt mech spawns outside of the Red Garage. Plasma Casters and Wasps are good choices for taking down health on this boss. If you have level five REQs available, then pull a Spartan Laser and take down the cockpit shield with two shots to expose the grunt pilot. A quick headshot will then end the round - Eliminate the Warden Eternal (2) – Two Wardens spawn in the room above the Temple. Plasma Casters are very effective in this round. Charge a shot, jump on the lift, and shoot the Warden. This can be repeated until one or both Wardens goes down. - Eliminate Soldier Bandits (3) – Three Promethean bosses spawn in various hogs. The gunner is the target with head shots being an instant down for the vehicle once the mask is knocked off of the Soldier. Kinetic bolt BRs are very helpful for this round. - Eliminate Colonel Ke ‘Nzhaz Spec Ops (5) – Five spec ops Elites spawn inside the Temple. Their shields are more powerful than the usual Elite so it is advised to either splatter them with Ghosts or focus on one at a time as a team.Round 4:
-
Eliminate Decan Pipap – Pipap spawns in near the Blue Garage (green side of the map) with a plethora of supporting AI. Watch the Phantoms and Wraiths that are dropped to support Pipap as they can down a Spartan quickly. Focus fire as a team on Pipap with any vehicles that may be available. Remember that two shots to the cockpit shield from a Spartan Laser will expose the grunt inside. This allows for a quick headshot to end the round. - Eliminate the Malevian Armsmen (4) – Four Mantises spawn on the green side of the map. This round requires a coordinated effort to win. As a team focus fire on a single Mantis at a time. This is to confuse the AI pilot making it easy to take down the Mantis in minimal time. Rinse and Repeat to down the other three. - Kill Ghosts (24) – Ghosts will be dropped on both sides of the Temple. They are fairly weak, but they come with some decent support. Tanks and Mantises are very effective for this round. This is a round to divide and conquer to ensure you kill the required amount in a timely fashion.Round 5:
-
Eliminate the Daz ‘Shul’s Armored Lance (5) – This round begins on the green side of the map with two Temple Banshee bosses. These are quite easy to take down with Mantises, Scorpions, or Hogs. Three Temple Wraiths are then dropped at separate corners of the green side. Focus fire on a single Wraith with your vehicles and kinetic bolt weapons to quickly down it. Rinse and repeat to finish the other two. Be alert to the multiple Ghosts that are also dropped in this round. They are lethal in small groups. - Eliminate all Prometheans (4) – This round begins on the green side with (2) Knight Champions located in the ruins. Be cautious of the support that spawns around them! Use tanks and aerial vehicles to focus fire on a single Knight until it’s downed. Hannibal Scorpions are especially effective in this round. After downing both Knights take out the three black orbs atop the ruins to spawn the (2) Mythic Wardens. Employ the same strategy used for the Knights to quickly down both Wardens. - Eliminate the Harbingers (4) – Four Mythic Knights spawn on the green side. Focus fire on one at a time to ensure quick takedowns. Be cautious of the supporting Prometheans that spawn in. Tanks and aerial vehicles are recommended for this round. - Protect the Promethean Relics – Tanks and aerial vehicles are recommended for this round. Focus fire on the Phantoms as they drop Covenant for quick spawn kills. A team with vehicles will have no trouble winning this round.
