Hello all, a fellow Spartan (SpartanMcNugget) and I have been quietly working on developing sure-fire plans for winning what many of us have deemed near impossible. You will see this message in each thread along with a short “Quick Tips” section that contains comments that we found ourselves repeating in several of the variations of certain rounds. We would love to synthesize the despaired information from the forums into each of these threads so Spartans have a one-stop shop for quickly finding out how to beat some of these notorious rounds.
We are almost certainly missing a variation or two for each map, but more importantly, we may be missing a key strategy so please feel free to give us your thoughts or share your videos on how to be successful in Warzone Firefight.
Quick Tips
These apply to all rounds:
-
Extended mag loadout weapons are extremely helpful to any Spartan working on foot. You’ll often find yourself low or out of ammo and these weapons help to slow that problem. - Enemies drop weapons! Some of those weapons are pretty awesome! Splinter grenades and Suppressor are two items that can quickly turn the table on an overwhelming Promethean round. - The flow of Round 2 is always dictated by the REQ level you and your teammates are currently at. Most Round 2 strategies vary by this simply because some will have Level 3/4 REQs available while others only have Level 2. - When facing any round with vehicles you should equip weapons with kinetic bolts. These weapons work much better at whittling down health as you support your fellow Spartans. - Don’t forget that you can EMP vehicles!!! Plasma Pistols are low REQs and can quickly turn the tide in a fight against any vehicle. - In Rounds 4 and 5 find ways to avoid dying. This may sound obvious, but you can more quickly run from the fight, recover your shields, and return to the fight before you would respawn a mile away from the objective.Darkstar
Round 1: -
Defend the Armory – There should be a Spartan trying to be inside or on top of the Armory at all times. Utilize the dropped weapons from downed Prometheans to better defend the armory. Be aware that Prometheans will spawn on the top of the armory (Knights included), which can turn the tides in their favor very quickly. - Eliminate the Serpend Hunters (2) – Whittle away at the ground forces using human and plasma pistols. Move in and use AR and grenades to take down the hunters AS A GROUP. - Eliminate the Knight Marshals (2) – These two knights spawn in the middle are with a fair amount of support. Take down the Promethean Soldiers to obtain Suppressors and Splinter grenades to help aide in taking down both Knights quickly. - Kill Grunts (75) – Spawn killing the groups as they drop from Phantoms is always a quick way to deal with the grunts. Stock up on ammo as you go. Locations: Red base and Blue base.Round 2:
-
Defend the Armory – This is the covenant version of Round 1 taking place across the map at the opposing armory. You will face nearly all the variations of covenant here including hunters. Utilize the weapon drops from early waves to wear down subsequent waves. Plasma casters are very effective for this round and will help you up your REQ level quickly. Make sure there is a Spartan inside or on top of the armory at all times. - Eliminate Knight Champions – Destroy the supporting AI outside of the cave and retrieve any decent weaponry they may drop. Plasma Casters and Splinter Turrets are very effective for staying out of harm’s way and taking down both Knights quickly. - Eliminate Crawlers (75) – Splatter kills are always the easiest route. Overall, rely on your pistol for one shot kills to the head, and don’t forget to refill your ammo as you go. Pay attention to the Knights that spawn in as they can take you down pretty quickly. - Eliminate the Remnant Hunters (2) – Two Hunters will drop behind West Armory on the Supply Pad with a slew of supporting AI. Take down the ground forces to get your REQ level up then use Splinter Turrets and Plasma Casters to take down both Hunters.Round 3:
-
Kill Jackals (60) – If available, use a ghost to run over as many jackals as possible. Spawn killing them as they drop is the easiest way to rack up kills quickly. Remember to avoid the phantoms as they can take you down very quickly. Grenading the groups as they drop is also an excellent way to maximize damage. - Eliminate Soldier Commandos (3) – These three Mantises can be difficult to take down if your team does not focus on one at a time. Quickly disperse the supporting AI near each Mantis then focus fire as a team. This will typically confuse the Mantis leading causing it to turn circles and not do damage to surrounding Spartans. Spartans on the ground can pick up the dropped Incineration Canons to do additional damage without wasting REQs. Plasma Casters are also quite effective here. Most vehicles can be successful during this round as long as the team works together.Round 4:
-
Eliminate Goblin Jockeys – The Grunt Mechs will spawn in the Blue Base with one on each side. Take down all of the supporting AI first to make getting at these mechs easier. The mech on the far side of the base is easy to snipe with a tank or multiple tanks for a quick takedown. The mech closer to the center is more difficult to take, but you can grab a Spartan Laser and hit the cockpit shield twice exposing the grunt inside to a quick headshot that will take it down instantly. Plasma casters, Fuel Rod Canons, and Rocket Launchers all work well here. Just remember to stay outside of the base and dodge those needles. - Eliminate the Warden Eternal – The Warden will Spawn at the back of Red Base with a host of Promethean AI spawing in the base with him. Sniping with tanks is an effective choice in addition to using dropped Promethean weapons to down his health quickly. Be sure to down as much of the supporting AI as possible to ensure success for this round. - Kill Soldiers (35) – Soldiers can be approached in various ways. Utilize vehicles for quick splatter kills or use BRs/DMRs to take them down at long range. Remember to pick up those Promethean weapons to aide in the fight. - Protect the Generators – Two generators spawn in the center and must be protected from onslaught of Prometheans. Attacking the Prometheans as they spawn is the key here. A small group of Spartans on foot can stay inside the area to catch stragglers as the larger group attacks from the outside using ground or aerial vehicles.Round 5:
-
Eliminate the Warden Eternal (4 Knight Luminaries, 1 Warden) – The Knight Luminaries will spawn at the Fortress. Tanks and Wraiths are highly advised here for a quick takedown of all four. With all four Knights downed you’ll face a Mythic Warden in front of the Fortress. The supporting AI that spawns with him can be quite overwhelming so make sure you take them down quickly. Focus fire on the Warden after downing his support to finish the round. - Eliminate the Knight Nobles (6) – (4) Ghost Jockeys will spawn in front of the Fortress with Temple Ghosts. Tanks/Wraiths make short work of these bosses. Head shots to the Promethean drivers are also very effective. (2) Mythic Knight Nobles will then spawn in the middle. Wraiths are more effective here simply due to their shot pattern. Promethean weapons are also a good choice for attacking these two Knights. When all else fails, have your teammates each pull out Answers and shred the Knights in glorious fashion.
