I was just thinking today how lucky we are that 343 have created a new character (Locke) and assembled what seems to be a badass team of Spartans around him to hunt the Chief. If it weren’t for Locke, we would likely have been forced to suffer through a Chief-hunt led by Spartan Palmer and her band of idiots. Can you imagine? Thank God for Locke.

Seems to be the general consensus.
I really don’t get why people hat Palmer so much. So what if she’s cocky? Do you wish untimely death on anyone you meet with that trait?
But, yeah, Locke is a cool guy.

She doesn’t like people smarter than her. I think it was even mentioned in initiation.
Oddly enough, there are many who are so.

Not just cocky. Check out issues 13-16 of Halo: Escalation. We get more of her selfish side in those.

I am happy to have lock and I think Mike Colter was a fantastic casting choice. Hopefully when playing as him, we still get to hear that smoky voice occasionally.
