Even If the ring did kill all of the flood that were on the ring and the ark, It still doesn’t really make much sense that EVERY flood specimen would be on the ring during its destruction. There must have been flood elsewhere somewhere in the galaxy so I have high hopes that we will be facing the flood again in halo 6.

Origin of the Flood is unknown mostly. The reason the Flood were even contained on the Halo rings for a cure that was because the Librarian know that any moment they could return.
As the flood has spread across the galaxy It would be hard to kill them all off

the flood are the precursors, when the precursors were losing to the forerunners they turn themselves into as dust this dust was suppost to reform the precursors over time but the dust got corrupted with turned into the flood

I doubt flood are gone, I’m sure the forruners still have preserved flood infection forms

Odds are there are still flood stored on the surviving halo rings, theres also the spoiler mentioned above. Issue is whether or not they are brought back, the flood is the reason halo 1-3 had an M rating, bringing them back would either require changing them or losing the T rating
