Were playlists cut from multiplayer?

I just started playing Halo Reach multiplayer a few days ago after not playing it for a few months now and it seems, to me at least, that some playlists are gone…? Could it just be because the old long list of games has been split into a new “evolved” category? I’m sorry if this been talked about before and but I was just wondering if some playlists were cut, and if so why?
