My friend got the game at 3pm today, now 6pm already SR - 28 we’ve only been playing MM for around 2 of those hours
Sigh Longevitiy = 0, I’ve already been in games with level 110s Yes, SR - 110.
People have actually already got through several specializations -__-
Why aren’t 343 reseting ranks for the 6th ?.
Alas, this is way too insignificant compared to my champagne. 
well, am not surprised. i don’t think 343 wanted to keep you on a single level forever, specially for the noobies.
So it seems ranking up in halo 4 really easy
this makes me wonder why 343i was originally planning on gradually releasing the specializations over time (based on the community’s overall progress) when everyone would probably reach SR-70 in like a week.

It won’t make much of a difference, we will still rank up just as fast, it’s like saying everyone should be reset when someone new buys the game months later.
343 made it really easy to rank up, I hope they do something about it.
I dont think it really affects longevity, if its numbered ranks youre interested in, and not gameplay, perhaps you should look into call of duty.
Even if everyone is an SR130 by the end of the week, it shouldn’t mean playing it becomes boring. It took too long to rank up in Reach (for the casual players, not the “pr0s”).

Longevity = 0??? Sigh I miss the days when people played video games because they were fun, rather than play them just to complete ranks and be done.
Maybe that exp rate is for the reviewers, so that they can get to experience the majority of the game without needing to play it for weeks. Maybe if or when they reset the game, at the same time they severaly decrease the rate.

Well playing for no rank, skill or unlockables can get boring really fast…

Stop hating every decision 343 make
its fine if we are maxed out by the weekend, once its out of the way, we can really start enjoying the game.
I don’t know if ranking up to 130 will be that easy. Machinima have been playing for 4 days straight and are only SR48 last time I checked.

Yup, I’m pretty sure it slows down alot around SR-40.

not totally, imagine if it took months get to the point where you complete a specialization. you unlock armor mods that affect your gameplay so it can’t take as long as reach to get to that point. granted, i still think it’s a little bit too fast.
I think we should fly through the progression system. It’s pointless crap between me and my loadout options.
When they implement the skill based system, then we can complain about how easy it is, but progression just doesn’t matter.

I’m a long term member on this forum, i’ve been around since before the e3 2011 trailer and i’ve probably been one of the most defensive and supportive people towards 343 on this forum. That is a completely ignorant statement.
And this is a completely terrible decision.
