I went on Halo 2 by myself again after some time. I must say the amount of “feel” I felt was overwhelming. That Menu Music. That Foggy Blue scren. The feel when I’m on my 360 I didn’t even use from the old days and don’t even have any of my own names (gamertags).
Campaign was pretty fun, I mean it wasn’t as long as people say, yet I enjoyed it for sure. Was interesting going back to The Arbiter and remembering how many people were against it.
Yet the feeling of age didn’t hit me until I felt like exploring the M.P maps. I was alone (sadly) and felt like just walking around them, getting a feel, looking at the old graphics and designs.
It was a strange, empty, sad feeling. Maps I have played hundreds if not thousands+ times all empty. No sounds of gunfire, No dead bodies, No explosions or spartans and Elites fighting. Just the sounds of the map. It was a strange feeling. I must say it hit me pretty hard. How OLD Halo 2 really is, or maybe just how OLD I am.
I never did do multiplayer back then. My would not allow it. But I completely agree with you. It’s depressingly sad. That’s why I’m getting Halo 2 PC. It’s my way of feeding my Halo 2 hunger. Also I don’t care what people think about the Arbiter. He was the Best. I enjoyed his level’s more the Master Chiefs.

There’s a sticky about XBConnect at the top of this forum so it’s OK. There’s also Xlink Kai as well as PC. None match Live, imo but it’s better than nothing.

It isn’t illegal, heck there was a playdate dedicated to XBConnect with Halo 2 a few months back, it got locked at the OPs request but it wasn’t against any rule.

I did a mini LAN party for it on saturday night with 6 people =) played for a couple hours, even recorded one of our cat and mouse matches on my capture card.
Them “feels” are exactly what i felt lol. What i would give to go back to the glory days and play TOWER OF POWER for 12 hours. then going to super bounce out of the map. Do any of you guys remember the rocket jump before it was patch? that was epic
