Gold playing plantium and diamond and getting smashed.
If you make changes to the matchmaking could you atleast wait until the end of the session so we can do our placement rounds again and be placed in the correct tier. This change you have made has really affected some folks enjoyment lucky it’s near the end of session.
To my knowledge, this happened because you won enough games against other golds so they started matching you with higher ranks, so it was givin you a better chance to get to the next division.
You may have gotten to the next rank just by beating golds, but when you beat a team with higher ranks than you you gain more CSR than beating same or lower ranks. Same with losing to them. If you lose to a bunch of silvers you will lose more CSR than when you lose to a team of platinum and diamond.
Its easier to notice when you’re in onyx cause they show your actual CSR. When I come in a lower place in an FFA and the players that beat me were diamonds and plat, my CSR goes down much more than if I only get beat by other onyx’s who are higher than I am. This is the only place I’m getting this “theory” from, so I could be wrong. However I have heard other people confirm this as well and 343 may have said something about it before too. But if I’m dead wrong I apologize haha.
Don’t worry, it all kinda balances out and if you lose too many to higher levels they’ll match you with golds again, or so it seems.
