It’s what not being prepared gets.
I play on PC and sold my Series X to a friend that couldn’t find one.
I want to continue playing with everyone on consoles so there needs to be a REAL solution.
And yes I strictly play Halo Infinite with controller only.
Dump all the cheaters in a cheater only player pool and monitor their hardware if they make new accounts.
This shouldn’t be that hard for legit PC players to play with console players.
This might be true but Phil stated a PC is an Xbox and crossplay is what they want.
So they need a real solution for Halo not just “screw you legit PC players you cannot play with everyone on console”.
Also, I don’t know anything about modded controllers on console but they need to do something about that and issue console bans to the guilty.
Then you basically could be banning/blocking anyone with disabilities trying to play with modded controllers on PC too because that’s the only way they can play properly.
That’s my misunderstanding then because I thought it was about modded controllers to try and cheat/gain an advantage.
Modded controllers for disabilities is obviously fine. I’m assuming these are official modified controllers . Although I’ve never seen them for sale it makes sense there should be some but I guess they’re very expensive.
Without easy-anti-cheat the multiplayer will be dead on 4 weeks and even more cuz a “PC-Cheater” can play all the modes “Gamepad only” “KB/Mouse only” “Quickplay” and “open-Crossplay”
So yeah is mandatory they implement EAC or nobody will be wasting their time with a multiplayer infested with cheaters
We need to be able to turn crossplay off completely before it destroys the game, it already is for alot of people with how unbalanced it is between K&M and controller but hackers will be the death of the community. There will be nobody self other than K&M hackers. What an absolutely awful idea crossplay is we just get all the baggage of pc with zero benefits. Its ruining multiplayer games across console.
Ever heard of an overkill? People get them all the time. You can’t judge based on someone’s description of dying to someone in a shooter that what they’re saying is 100% true. I’m NOT saying hackers don’t exist, but I am saying people are mistaken all the time.
OP has the clips in their Theater, and they could use the Xbox recording feature to share it with us to not only prove it to us, but to use as evidence to report the hackers. So, why not do it?
I mean, it’s a little bit much to say all pc players should be banished to their own servers, but he’s not wrong that cheaters are very rare on console play. Turning off cross play should absolutely be an option. It sucks that cheating is a thing at all, but players who have the ability to avoid it all together should be given the option to do so.
Likely because its easier to remove the various anti-cheats used in the previous games and consolodate them with a single piece of software (disfunctional malware in reality). EAC does absolutely nothing to stop cheaters and unfortunately has to be integrated at Kernel Level.
