Unlocked a req pack and saw several other reqs for purchase that weren’t there 15 minutes ago, bought a legendary WZ pack, and all of them (the packs, not the boosters I just bought) were gone after the next match. If that was intentional, that’s just stupid to put them up in the first place if they were only going to be available for what I saw to be less than an hour.

I’ve seen people report that when the store gets updated, sometimes they’ll have a few minutes where a bunch of really rare ones are available, but shouldn’t be.
Too bad you weren’t able to grab them.

I got one, bought the WZXP pack, but still. If it was a glitch, then okay, but if it was intentional, offers like this being as limited as they are isn’t exactly good for business unless they post the schedules for them.

This bug actually offers me some hope that i’lI might just be able to open the store and finally purchase that packs that I need/want but are hidden from in game for some reason.

I had the same thing happen to me, I did some research and found out that it may be due to a simple bug in the game. I attempted many different things to get them to reappear. They never have. I sold everything I had within my req collection to spend on the packs. I thought it was just something I never seemed to notice before.

Well the game isn’t being supported anymore, it’s merely on life support as it’s old and the MCC is the game people want to play now, and you can’t blame them, it’s miles better.
It’s also hardly game breaking, the packs appear in the store then vanish again shortly after as they weren’t supposed to be there.
Edit - forgot to mention they appeared when they weren’t supposed to, they weren’t actually added to the store again, so it’s actually an opportunity more than an issue.
The XP packs come round every 4-6 months ish, but mai my around important Halo dates or events

It’s actually a client-based issue which is why it’s so difficult to fix. All the packs are always in the store but the store tells the client not to make them available to the player. Occasionally a client doesn’t do that.

Otherwise, I doubt we’ll see them again anytime soon. Only time you’ll probably see them in when we get close to Infinite launch (if it actually happens) and there’s a final push for those close enough to 152, then you might see them again as a way to help them out. I look to be long finished by then though.

Thank you, no idea why it’s not there in the xbox marketplace or the req store, but I’ll definitely keep this in mind. The grind is still kind of ridiculous though. If I really do need another 45,000,000 xp and MWZFF grants about 27k for a full match with a legendary booster, that’s a minimum of 1667 matches to go (the remaining xp needed divided by what I get per match). Each match being 15-20 minutes, that’s about 108,000 per hour at the most. I only get 2 days off a week, and not accounting for other responsibilities/ necessities. If I played nonstop for the 14-15 hours on those days and the 4-5 hours on work days, that’s 540k at the most on work days and 1,620,000 on my days off. Thats 5,940,000 at the most per week, that would be 7-8 weeks of grinding IF I had enough boosters.
Sorry 343, but I don’t think I have that kind of money or the dedication if my math is right. I probably have enough time, but on second thought, I don’t think I’ll be doing this unless prices are reduced and XP is doubled or tripled for the month or two leading up to the release of Infinite. Knowing my luck though, there would be other skins that are mostly black and red anyway, and given how bad MCC was for the first several years and how bad H5 is, they cannot afford to screw this up.

Yea… not sure if there’s an official reason… but they probably don’t want people just buying those on a whim… not really sure though. The grind is ridiculous… I have less than 4 mil to get to 151… then of course the 15 mil to 152. I’m not doing terrible… I average anywhere from 800k to just over 1.3m per week and should finish roughly in the middle of August. Obviously those projections would be a little different for you… but I still think it’s doable. Nowhere is any of the releases did 343 say you had to get there before Infinite release, so there’s that. I do think they’ll end up doing something probably a month before release (probably double xp) for all playlists. If they gave Halo 5 the time and dedication it would need to get fixed, it’d be a good game. It is a good game, but it has a lot of flaws that could be simple fixes, but 343 would rather focus on MCC (I think that’s stupid but what do I know). Anyway, I’m sure Infinite will have quite the variety of weapon coatings and all kinda of various colors to choose from, I don’t think you’ll have to worry about that.

If you look up halo 5 in the Microsoft store you can buy different reg packs for money if you want. (Not that I recommend spending money)

Oh yea, I’m totally aware of that but I refuse to hand over physical cash partially out of principle, but also mostly because I’m broke. If that means I am never able to 100% the armory, then that’s fine b/c I will at least know that I did all I could.
