Reminds me of Halo 2/3 days when most used it, and unless you were damn good with an AR, or had some power weapon, you would go down to it, mosty anyways. I can’t stand this. First was the DMR, now it’s BR everywhere. This isn’t supposedly “sandbox balance”. It is better than before, yes, but I honestly think the BR’s of fire needs to come down a hair. It’s a “precision” rifle, and yes I can triumph here and there up close with an AR, sure, but the BR is too forgiving, and generally speaking, too commonly used because of that.
They lessened the BR’s RoF down, but only down to the DMR’s RoF. Whoever thought an essentially 4sk DMR with lesser range would work must’ve not been thinking entirely clear.
Yes, it’s not as dominate as the old DMR, but that’s only because the other weapons can actually fight back. The BR is now the new DMR basically (at least you don’t have to deal with it at long range). Yes, it’s much more bearable, but another RoF decrease would make it perfect.

A good carbine player will destroy any BR user with ease. That rate of fire is just to hard to counter. It could get ugly fast. But you are correct, just about everyone uses the BR. Just means plenty of ammo for everyone.

Indeed. You should add more stuff to your response… better safe than angry.
The battle rifle is too forgiving I’d say. And in damage boost it appears to be a two shot kill.
The BR Is good for mis range encounters, and it dors its job vert well. The BR Is not op, it Is Just a fan favorite weapon, its now the New DMR. But i Can still outclass anyone using a BR with the assault rifle when in close range encounters, l’île on haven any Day. Dame Goes for when I use the DMR, You cant use the BR in big team Battle, it Just has absolutely no range.
While the BR is the new go to, all purpose precision weapon, each of the other rifles does have niche where it out-performs the BR.
No matter how hard the developer tries, one weapon in a game with several will rise above the others. If you think about it, there would be no point to having multiple weapons that perform exactly the same in a game. If that were the case, save the time and only have one, but to be honest, I think that would get boring after awhile.

So why don’t we have playlists to cater to all rather then have all cater to one?
i disagree just because its popular due to the weapon tuning and a fan favourite doesn’t mean its op i personally prefer the carbine over it and the LR to an extent

that is true. a good carbine player that frequently hits all his shots is an unusual and intimidating thing for your average BR user. its hard to keep your cool when being pounded on by an accurate carbiner. sadly, if you go on a tear with the carbine you are likely going to be picking a BR off the ground in the end from lack of ammo.
The BR is the only precision rifle that has recoil
Has the shortest RRR of all precision rifles (with the CC)
Is entirely useless outside of its RRR unlike the long range precision weapons
Has the most amount of spread of any precision weapon
Has the same RoF as the DMR and a significantly slower RoF than the carbine
The BR is shredded if you get too close to autos and shredded from long distance by the LR and DMR and is often times shredded by a good CC user
Now take all of that into consideration
Still think its OP?
4v4 maps are small-mid ranged the BR excels close-mid range that’s why you see it so much in infinity slayer
Oh and incidentally a BR with damage boost doesn’t mean that the BR is OP it just means damage boost in ordnance and actually damage boost in general is just a terrible idea

100% how I feel
343 has done a good job at giving a little bit to everyone with every weapon.
No matter what 343 does YOU CANT PLEASE EVERYONE ALL THE TIME .
