i mean halo 4 seemed well good! but the shielding perk worried me some…then this… walshy confirmed that the AMMO perk gives extra ammo to your ORD drops as well…
im still going to buy halo 4 and play it. but now im actually kinda scared on how this will impact MP.
EDIT: also worried about the fact that your ORD drop doesn’t reset upon death. infinity slayer seems like its gona be a cluster -Yoink-.
EDIT 2: the hardlight shield absorbs inf. damage. its a time based thing. color changes to indicate time left. lasts about 8 seconds if held all the way till the end.
I don’t understand why everyone is freaking out about the ammo thing and not the firepower. Firepower lets you start with 2 primary weapons… You know like say… DMR and BR… I think that is a pretty crazy OP thing. Either way I think most of the stuff will balance out in the end. Doesn’t really worry me much.
The Shielding perk is, from what I saw, defeated easily by grenades and isn’t infinite. As for bonus ammo, I really don’t think you have to worry. I mean, if you live long enough to use all of the ammo in general, then you must be incredibly good at Halo. If you live long enough to use all of the ammo with the bonus perk. Then you are really good. Then it depends on the weapons. A Sniper, I can see it anyone going through all of the ammo. A Rocket would be a bit more difficult. And a Laser would be nearly impossible, because once you use it, especially in BTB, all vehicles know your location and zoom in.

you misunderstood. im not freaking out. just the idea of someone being able to pick up a rocket launcher in normal MP that starts with 6 shots scares the hell outa me x .x

I didn’t really mean you freaking out. I’m just saying in general people are more worried about the ammo than the ability to start with DMR and BR.
Hardlight shield actually seems pretty useless, you move really slowly and seem to turn slowly as well, your venerable from three sides, it only lasts for 8 seconds, you can’t attack, has no EMP effect and does not shed grenades. The ammo bonus only adds an extra clip as far as i am aware, two rockets, 4 sniper shots, whatever. This is usefull, but i get the feeling that it won’t be as big a deal as you think, it’s also possible that since ordanence drops are personal, like killstreaks, that the starting ammo without extra ammo is lower, for instance a rocket launcher has two rockets, with ammo it has four.

the shielding perk is different then the hardlight shield AA wich is infinite. i know with shield stripping guns like the pp and storm gun it won’t be a big deal. i just don’t like the idea. the extra ammo scares me because it means its possible to get a rocket launcher with 6 starting shots. thats what scares me.
i don’t mind so much the hardlight shield taking that much damage. i was just clarifying it for everyone because im sure most of us thought you could pop it like a jackles shield.

not worried about the hardlight shield. just clarifying it for people. if the personnel drops start with lower ammo then usual then i won’t be scared.

well me personally its because i used to play alot of halo AND cod. and overkill perk in there is the same as fire power in halo 4. so im used to it.

Yes, but a lot of times (at least from what I’ve seen), that person won’t be able to use the rocket launcher without wasting 2 rounds before getting killed.

well i know the extra ammo works on both the sniper and the scatter shot. like i said the only thing im worried with extra ammo is the rocket launcher.
