Previous halos had more aim assist then halo 5 has. Plus you don’t need to ADS to be more accurate. Halo needs to evolve not stay the same. I love the new mechanics and feel!

This video @3:00 talks about the Aim Magnetism Cone (not to be confused with bullet magnetism, which the video also talks about), also referred to as the precision aiming zone. Its easy to observe for yourself, just move your reticle at a steady speed and let it cross an opponent. While within the zone, your sensitivity drops, regardless of the amount of input your are providing. The goal by 343 is to help prevent over aiming, but the consequence has been that all input from the player has been diminished, causing ample amounts of under aim. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/community#media-WVQ4Bp7vlwc
This video demonstrates the acceleration jump which occurs at about 80% joystick deflection. http://youtu.be/UmGc_rpjGzo
As for the time-delay while pegging your joystick. Its easy to observe for yourself. Quickly peg the joystick from 0 to 100%. After the joystick is pegged, there is a delay, then the reticle lurches into the maximum turn speed.
I have played 10 sensitivity on every single Halo game. Halo 5 is by far, without any doubt, significantly less sensitive the previous Halos.
I am not making anything up.

> I keep hoping this is just a bad dream and that I’ll wake up from it, but it’s real. The aiming is garbage. I still have not gotten used to it. It’s just awful. I know I don’t need to go into detail about how bad these aiming mechanics are, because so many other people have expressed what’s wrong, but it’s nothing like any Halo before it. Why change what was NEVER wrong with Halo? Every game in MCC feels amazing, as far as aiming is concerned. Going back and forth between different Halo games on there is effortless and I’m always confident that my shot will be on. This game is just wonky as hell. I can’t even begin to express my disappointment with the aiming mechanics. I really hope they listen to us and make this game feel like EVERY game before it. And not just a little deadzone tweaking or accel tweaking…it needs a 100% revert back to how we all know Halo is supposed to feel. It’s just not a fun game. I gave it a legitimate chance after 23 hours of play, but it’s still bad. There’s just no getting used to the aiming in this game. So much potential…damn…
You played ball in those everyone wins leagues when you were a kid didnt you.

Geeze kid, you can’t be that ignorant. This issue was noticeable on release day.

I know, these kids are like, “Uh, there’s no problem, my gun fires bullets when I press the trigger”. SMH.
Good if many leave there will still be many left and those players will actually be for Halo and not against it which should make the forums healthier my goodness, great game I am having a blast

I like your thinking! Trouble is, most of these guys are all talk. They won’t actually leave, or they’ll come back when they’re done complaining about their next game.

I don’t even feel it’s tough to get headshots. In slayer games where I mostly use precision weapons, 15-20 kills are headshots. It was my first commendation completion. Sure it may not be easy to do, but I prefer that. It pissed me off when if someone got 1 - 2 shots headstart on a firefight, it meant they’d win the fight. Certain death! In combination with the new movement abilities in H5, I feel like a player can turn the firefight around even when on no shields. It’s good where it’s at.

Yeah, b/c a healthy forum community is what everyone wants when you buy a game. Doesn’t matter if the game is broken as long as everyone here is farting butterflies.
I don’t know if I’m experiencing the same thing. What exactly is wrong? Is it difficult to aim or what? no sarcasm I’m just not seeing a problem myself. Haven’t played as much as you but played enough to notice any aiming problems. (shooter after all)
