Well my friends, I'm done with this game's aiming

I cannot believe this thread is still trending. What is wrong with you people. Agree to add an enable/disable option for the aim acceleration where disable is everything that the people that are unhappy will like and enable is the way it is now.

Good grief.

Honestly same, just been hip firing this whole time.

I’m not your friend, Buddy

So, you’re saying the “aim acceleration” video people keep linking is making less skilled players able to land more shots? I don’t see the correlation you’re trying to make at all. Simply generalizing all people who don’t have an issue with the aiming mechanics in Halo 5 as not “actual skilled players” completely ruins whatever point you’re trying to make.

It sounds like your saying it is easier now to aim then before, which from reading what I have been seeing that is not the case at all. In fact, I have seen quite the contrary. Halo 5: Guardians is a new Halo game. To think that every single mechanic from “classic Halo” will just be copy-pasted into the new game is just not realistic.

For example, look at how different the grenade physics are from each Halo game. Each one has their own weights, throw distance, acceleration, bounce mechanics, blast radius, etc. Each game, players have to adjust to the new grenade standards, so I don’t see how aiming is any different in this case.

Sorry. I can’t find a forum .

The aiming certainly has some kinks, but to me the reticle just doesn’t listen at times.

I’m not your buddy, friend!

Just thought I would put in my two cents… Aiming seems fine to me.

You turn and “snap” to the target, its called tactical awareness and ability to change directions (agility - look it up) at a rapid pace. So how do you use this to your advantage? Simple…PRACTICE!!! Just practice and naturally you’ll be able to know when that point comes and just don’t push so - YOINKING - hard on the stick! Stop complaining and just adapt. The majority of us have probably played paintball/airsoft and you snap to targeting the other people rapidly or you get lit up. It’s simple…if you can’t realize that as humans and creates can do this rapid change in movements then go get out into the world and see for yourself. Watch sports, do they just go slow when they’re turning or changing directions while running in football, soccer, basketball, or skating with the hockey puck? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Turning and Aiming have never been two separate entities before, and don’t need to be. There is no need to separate what was already a single mechanic, unless we’re using a variant of the #immersion or #realism argument.

As of now, all I see is a dramatic removal of what was a dynamic setup - the ability to turn while you aimed - for the ability to “snap,” which I was quite able to do before hand without this undue acceleration.

It’s not just me - and this conversation isn’t anywhere near as long as some of the ones I’ve seen. This thread is honestly nothing compared to how bad things have gotten in the past.

> I’m actually not new, thank you. I’ve play since CE on the original Xbox. I can endorse this change if I want to since it is my opinion. I don’t mind it one bit because I can rotate fast enough but slow enough so that this isn’t an issue.

I specifically meant on the forums - not to Halo in general.

And fine. I can’t fault you for having an opinion. However, I’m still in the dark as to why you prefer it this way. It’s not a matter of adapting or changing a playstyle. That’s simple. It comes with the territory. It’s a question of why you would need to. That’s what’s still confusing me about the defense of this new system. What was wrong about the way it was before - save the totally unrelated Aim Assist.

I sucks, i can never seem to hit anyone. i don’t feel there is even a need for an aiming mechanic, it makes the game too hard to enjoy for me online,

ik get shot everywhere, ther is a accasional luck shot that kills someone, but 90% of the time i am dead before i know it.

whenever i aim it either goes all over the place or does not move well at all.

it is garbage, makes me want to quit the game after one match…

if i want to play call of duty i will play that, halo needs no aiming down the sight.

I honestly don’t think there’s anything wrong with it, the only downside in my opinion is that I don’t think they got the sensitivity quite right, I feel like even on 10 it still feels really slow to me.

this game can be such sheese

Wow, I’m just now seeing this thread and im glad its not just me. I had been thinking to myself something is off with the aiming but this just solidifies it.
