Making aiming hard just because is absurd, you making aiming skillful by removing bullet magnetism, auto aim etc.

Or they could just keep playing the MCC. Just because 5 has bad aiming doesn’t mean they all do. Halo 1 through 3 still feel and play amazingly well.
I have had zero problems with aiming and am perplexed as to why some people are having a tough time getting the hang of it. The only difference I’ve noticed is reduced aim assist, and I’m loving it.

yep another example of where a beta had it right, similar to halo reach beta being better than reach at release

Yeah, as someone who has been playing Halo on Xbox Live since Halo 2 and have well over 30,000 games played this just feels like Halo to me. Way better than all the garbage that was in Halo 4 and more in line with 2+3.
I guess people need to think “the game is wrong” if they arent playing very well.

The game practically hands you head shots so I don’t think that’s it. It just feels uncomfortable. It’s a preference, how would you feel if you were forced to play on sens 2?
I’m not understanding how people are having problems. You aren’t supposed to keep your ADS up like it’s Destiny or COD. You only aim in bursts when they are at long distances. Line up your shot, then ADS, pop a couple shots, unADS, aim again, ADS, shoot, repeat…

I agree, change isn’t bad. I’ve played every Halo game to date. I have spent so many hours on Halo it’s probably unhealthy lol. I have to say starting around the end of Reach I started really caring about my skills in the multiplayer modes. Not that I didn’t before, but I was tired of being mid tier. I have to say I have been improving my skills, and I would say I am above average. That being said I am doing extremely well at Halo 5 compared to my standards. I am a platinum 4 in slayer. And I have above a 1.0 hahahahahahahahaha. But seriously I’m fine with how it is, and if these people think it’s harder than past games in the series I must have improved a lot!!!

Why change what was NEVER wrong with Halo? Every game in MCC feels amazing, as far as aiming is concerned. Going back and forth between different Halo games on there is effortless and I’m always confident that my shot will be on. This game is just wonky as hell. I can’t even begin to express my disappointment with the aiming mechanics. I really hope they listen to us and make this game feel like EVERY game before it. And not just a little deadzone tweaking or accel tweaking…it needs a 100% revert back to how we all know Halo is supposed to feel. It’s just not a fun game. I gave it a legitimate chance after 23 hours of play, but it’s still bad. There’s just no getting used to the aiming in this game. So much potential…damn…
Sounds like you’re bitter that you can’t seem to get used to a new feature. That’s on you, not 343. If you don’t like the game, don’t play it. I prefer the community be positive and offer constructive criticism, not just keep saying things are “terrible” and offer no alternative. And no, the alternative is not to just make the gameplay like old Halo games. You want that gameplay, go play MCC. It’s starting to really disgust me how poorly you people are treating 343 over this game they poured their hearts and souls into.

It’s pretty obvious that if the aiming reverts back to the aiming of the last 5 games it would be immeasurably better. 343 CLEARLY didn’t pour their heart or soul into this game. It’s obvious to me they’re trying to recoup money from the millions of people that stopped playing the Halo series with stupid RNG mechanics and “pro” aiming mechanics that make the very basis of this shooting game unwieldy.

I agree. I like the not so much aim assist, but the aiming at the Beat was dificult to understand at first, but then you could become used to it. Now I have played so many matches and sometimes I still can’t aim properly. The thing is, that in every other Halo and at the Beta, I felt “connected” to my character, but now I just feel I am not firing a gun, but I just press buttons. (Yes, I now that this doesn’t make a lot of sence.) The Beta had the best aming system than aany other game for me, let’s go back to that.
I personally love how the game feels. I am also pretty good with it…even better than Halo 4. Don’t get the hate. Its not that hard. People just forgot how to play Halo MP. Got too used to COD, I guess

Yes, they CLEARLY didn’t pour their hearts and souls into a game that has beautiful graphics, fluid movement, fun gunplay, varied environments, great vehicle combat, tons of customization, a boat load of collectibles, FREE DLC, a bunch of multiplayer modes, intuitive forge, spectator mode, and theater mode. Nope. Some people don’t agree with the aiming, so 343 clearly didn’t put love into this game.
This game requires more accuracy than any other Halo game and people are so used to games holding their hands when aiming that they can’t grasp how to aim themselves.
This is by far the smoothest Halo game ever made and the people who don’t like it are the people who are still trying to hold on to the past.
Halo as it used to be is done, but that doesn’t mean that this game isn’t good or that future Halo games won’t be good.
This game is Halo, its just not the Halo that you dream of.

I agree with you partially, but how do you mess up the MAIN mechanic of the game? It is not that some don’t agree with the aiming, I just don’t think some are at the level to actually have the issue. It took me awhile to get used to the movement and get real precise with the game, and now its obvious the aim is messy. Once you get into a real competitive match where movement is a must while aiming, the fighting/mushy aiming is incredibly obvious.

fluid movement…except in the aiming
fun gun play…except in the aiming
varied environments…yes in multiplayer all 7 maps are so “varied”
vehicle combat…if you’ve unlocked them in the cards
customization…from a random number generator if you’re lucky you might get the ones you want out of thousands of items
collectibles…yes that’s what I wanted from Halo…collectibles
FREE DLC…it’s only free so they can justify this stupid P2W model that they’re guessing will be more profitable than maps people wouldn’t buy anyway
Intuitive forge? You’ve played it then?
Spectator mode and theater mode? Bungie modernized those for consoles do not praise them for copying it
This game is a cheap attempt to milk the franchise.

Expects to be an expert after just 23 hours of game time.
It’s actually quite astonishing how many people don’t get why people are complaining about the aiming in this game at this point and keep thinking people are complaining about the lack of aim assist.
I’ve watched the videos with the aim bug and it doesn’t seem to happen to me in game. People are talking about the the acceleration being sluggish and weird, but I did a bunch of aiming exercises, and it feels just as smooth as any other Halo or shooter game I’ve played.
