Yes finally they changed the aiming, it now doesn’t have as many people who spray and pray and now it takes skill to shoot people

Yes, I agree that this game is the toughest halo game to play, but the change this game brought forth has grown on me, this has become my favorite halo game in the series.
> > The motion trackers range is really low, but you can move around so quickly in this game that having such a small range is better because it supports players moving around, you have Spartan abilities to help you if you weren’t expecting someone to be on your motion tracker. Personally, I think that this games motion tracker isn’t meant to be used to find players, but instead, it’s meant to help one player chase another player more efficiently if they try to retreat while your fighting them.

This isn’t s game you can be good at in an hour, or even a day -it took me until yesterday to think I’ve adjusted to the way aiming works,- just give yourself more time to play and practice.

What do you mean by “not positioning yourself well enough”? I so want to be better but I cannot for the life of me figure out why the hell I cannot kill more efficiently!

If you are used to a hard but fast twitch to make small adjustments, you’re going to have a bad time. I have noticed this too, but mostly i blame myself and need to learn how it is different now. I have been over-correcting my aim in a way that has never happened before.

well seriously guys there’s nothing wrong with the aim the game is perfect the aim is perfect and that’s all I have to say

> dude look at the videos being posted everywhere it has nothing to do with aim assist
I’ve seen the videos. With higher aim assist people would need to make fewer adjustments to their aim and therefore wouldn’t even notice the turn acceleration.

dude the aiming is okay stop complaining it takes skill to shoot people now instead of spray and pray
I’m sorry, but i really can’t see what is wrong with this games aiming, i dont see it as a problem.

that’s the point nothings wrong with the games aiming people are just complaining for no reason

Spraying is at an all time high. AR usage for cross map kills is higher than ever before.

Why is this still a top thread ? I just don’t understand…I’ve never seen a larger amount of arguing and complaining. There are simple ways to fix this…
- Don’t play if you don’t like it
- Please stop comparing it to the other games, of course it’s different! It has to be in order to appeal to a new generation and fan base and like technology, it has to be upgraded.
- Change happens, if you can’t handle that then you’ll struggle in life

There have been changes to the aiming. This is indisputable. Ghost came out and said this publicly. People are not complaining for no reason. The reason they’re complaining is that aiming mechanics changed a noticeable amount since the beta. These people complaining do not like the changes. They have a reason. You just don’t agree and that’s fine, but don’t be dismissive just because people disagree with you, that’s what children do.

Yeah, the inconsistency is definitely noticeable. Not terrible (love the game, will keep playing) but frustrating.

> I’ve been reading this thread pretty extensively, and I just felt like putting my 2 cents in about all this, “controversy” over the aiming. As someone who’s played Halo pretty competitively since the H2 days, I gotta say that H5’s multiplayer has to be some of the closest to the original core game mechanics since those days. No more op armor abilities, everyone has the same boosts which makes everything feel more balanced, the maps are well scaled for each game type and nice to move around. I think 343 has honestly done a good job on bringing the Halo back to Halo, because to me anyway, Reach ruined it and 4 was ok enough to keep me hooked, but not anywhere near as much as the past Halo’s have. So this installment, for me, is easily the best in the past 5 years, not counting the MCC of course, but I was desperate for a new Halo to draw me back to the series and this one did it. As for the aiming, I can see where everybody is coming from. It’s actually pretty funny because I always find myself, “Why do I keep losing it on the last shot!”. But, I’ve definitely adjusted a little bit to how it all works and I still find myself consistently going positive and winning games, so I guess adjusting the curve is really the hardest part of the game at this point. Would I appreciate similar aiming to Halo 3 or 2? Of course, but whether or not they fix it is no hindrance to me as I find myself having the most fun with this game and its multiplayer than I’ve had since the H3 days.
Thank you sir, I miss having H2 vets around that agree on issues like this and if there was an issue we ADAPTED to it
I think the aiming is great, the only thing that bugs me is when I get shot and it makes me scope out.

This has always been a frustration. Not a bad thing, just something to get used to.

Amen to that, Mufz! So the aiming is a little different then before but, and this maybe a personal thing, I feel like it got better. I was never a pro shot but it feel like the aim was fixed when compared to previous games in my opinion. If you wanna rage quit, EmptyVoid95, then no one is stopping you. Just remember that 343i just said they were coming down hard on people who quit early. Have a great day.
