Well my friends, I'm done with this game's aiming

You can’t assume everyone plays the same as the pros. It’s an unbelievably flawed assumption. There are people who are slow and calculated. People who like to run gun. People who like to go CQC and melee a lot. People who love snipers and people who hate them. There is no unified way to play this game and attempting to force one style of play on everyone kills variety or - in this case - ends up annoying a lot of people.”

Exactly. I went to sleep last night, not sure what to expect from this post when I woke up. Now I see that a lot of consists of people have NO IDEA WHAT THEY’RE TALKING ABOUT.

Let’s get some facts straight here. Whether or not you feel that the aiming is broken is not the issue. What IS the issue is the fact that a lot of those defending the issue have NO evidence to back up their counter-arguments.

“Dude you just suck git gud”
“People better than you are fine with it so shut up”
“You’re just afraid of change”

None of these are actual, valid points. There is ACTUAL, TANGIBLE proof that the aiming system is flawed, someone has done ACTUAL research into the topic, look at this link: http://xim4.com/community/index.php?topic=42461.0#Telling someone that they suck and need to “git gud” (using long dead memes is NOT a valid argument, contrary to popular belief) just makes you look extremely ignorant.
As the quoted text states, this game was tailored ENTIRELY to the “pro” players and their playstyles, and the fact is, they are a small minority, so everybody most certainly does not play as they do.

Being fine with the aiming as it is, is one thing. That’s okay. What isn’t okay is talking down to someone, saying they just suck and should stop whining when they have very valid, genuine points of critique in regards to the aiming system, and there is actual proof to back up their criticisms.

Stop saying that it’s the low aim-assist that’s making people salty. It isn’t, it never was, and when people have very clearly pointed out that it isn’t the problem, what do you do? Continue to say that it is low aim-assist making them salty.

Learn how to argue, and do some actual research, before typing. Players who have issues with the aiming are not the minority, which, I understand, may be difficult to understand seeing as how you and all 5-6 of your friends have no issues. It’s split pretty evenly.

Ad hominem does not make you objectively right, and wins you an argument. It makes you look like someone who has no clue what they’re even talking about.

> I keep hoping this is just a bad dream and that I’ll wake up from it, but it’s real. The aiming is garbage. I still have not gotten used to it. It’s just awful. I know I don’t need to go into detail about how bad these aiming mechanics are, because so many other people have expressed what’s wrong, but it’s nothing like any Halo before it. Why change what was NEVER wrong with Halo? Every game in MCC feels amazing, as far as aiming is concerned. Going back and forth between different Halo games on there is effortless and I’m always confident that my shot will be on. This game is just wonky as hell. I can’t even begin to express my disappointment with the aiming mechanics. I really hope they listen to us and make this game feel like EVERY game before it. And not just a little deadzone tweaking or accel tweaking…it needs a 100% revert back to how we all know Halo is supposed to feel. It’s just not a fun game. I gave it a legitimate chance after 23 hours of play, but it’s still bad. There’s just no getting used to the aiming in this game. So much potential…damn…

Doubtful that you’ll see any chances to the “aiming”. Either embrace it or move on. After halo 4 and the MCC MM travesty, I’ve all but come to expect trash. It’s softens the blow when my disappointment is affirmed.

At the end of the day, 343 isn’t trying to make the game for the hardcore gamer, because we are small in numbers. 343 listened to the masses and manufactured a product that feels everything BUT familiar. Halo has always been for the skilled gamer, but you can’t make money that way; especially when you purchase the brand at a premium. The vast majority of gamers are noobs, and in order to keep them involved, they needed to scale back the skill level and make it easier for anyone to pick up.

These noobified changes have resulted in a more level playing field and have allowed for the scrubbiest of scrubs to get good, and pros to be less dominant. So when you consider touting your ranks in the playlist, just remember, that they put the training wheels on this game for you.

Theres nothing wrong with the aiming. But in the other halos you can feel the auto aim alot Møre.
But let me ask you this, Have you tried to turn your xbox off and then on again?

I’m pretty sure the only people they listened to was their “pro” team.

This game isn’t tailored to the pros. What pro player is using LT for aiming?!?! What a joke. I can produce additional evidence, but at the end of the day, this game has leveled the playing field.

Why? Warzone and Arena is fine, but why quit? You can’t quit without forge coming in Dec.

I honestly don’t find it too much different from normal halo aiming, I’ve had no troubles at all.

You want me to debate something that doesn’t exist5. There is no aiming issue, my whole point. The mechanics have changed, just like in H2 to H3 and still people complain.

So let’s take this step by step.

What logical hole. You state ignore all polls except the bad ones. So you haters are always right and screw everyone else. Just shows your hate and ignorance. Thank you for proving my point. There is no problem just in your hater mind. My proof is establish in this post by the number of people jumping on claiming the same facts i am. Trolls and haters will always bash everything, case and point. This post. Even when i post the poll that supposedly showed their was a problem you deny it and come up with 45% that’s an issue. Yeah all the haters and may be 10% of the 45% may have an issue. The people who don’t are playing and not posting or doing the poll. So that number tips even further making it closer to 80 - 20 (not a fact just a valid point).

That’s easy. It’s made it a hell of a lot more competitive. People like you who are always on top are now being owned and can’t stand it.

I miss old aim mechanics. Does anyone miss playing with regular weapons and full armor customization? I sure do

I havent had any problem with the way halo 5 aims… i dont know why everyone noticed such changes. i tried to test those death zones, acceleration, etc. but havent noticed anithing ._. the only thig¿ng i noticed is that it is much faster to aim in the y-axis than in the x-axis. but when playing (not in customs checking that) i cant tell

Maybe you’re just bad.

I’ve have no issues with it either, but there are certain mechanics and play styles no longer available to me personally because of the changes. in addition, the run/punch, slam, boost, and sprint are all noob additions. You can argue that they enhance the game to the skilled player, but I much more prefer button combos to the crap I listed before.

I have many complaints with the game, but that is because I have long, rich history with video games and FPS. It’s not fair to 343 to be compared to their predecessors, but they certainly aren’t blazing any trails…More like walking down the same path.

I am sorry but I am posting this for an easy promotion for my company. I have no idea why I am trying for a promotion that may serve little to no purpose

Aiming in this game is hard, I can’t deny that, and I know that facts prove that aiming is bugged.
But, I for one love this games aiming, it makes matches closer, and it makes it tougher to completely dominate another team, which gives me an actual challenge in Swat.
Which is something that I like because I dominated Swat so hard in MCC that it stopped being fun to play, until halo 5 released and it’s challenging again.
But as hard as aiming is in this game, I’ve gotten used to it, and one of the pros said something like: if you have a problem aiming, you’re just not positioning yourself well enough.
Just look at the fact that there are still players that get insanely great k/d ratios even with halo 5’s aiming you’re getting so angry at hindering them as much as it hinders you.

Ive been absolutely loving this game, and this comes from someone who played halo from the begining (I included this because it seems to matter to some people)
